Perfect stay for one night. Lovely walks close by and in such a lovely quiet area. Breakfast was delicious and we loved the cake and coffee on arrival. Owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Great nights sleep, very comfortable beds and the small touches of the night cap and cake in the room were much appreciated!

All round fab holiday, will be going back to see what it’s like in the summer months. We kayaked wast water, swam in the river, intended to climb scafell thought the weather hindered, ate at the wasdale head in, and had cosy nights in at wallowbarrow farm cottage.

Feels like it is off the tourist trail a hidden gem with the river Dudden to swim in, fantastic walks and Scafell within easy reach but what a stunning drive to get there and the pass very nearby too - use the local shop if you can but bring supplies too. All you will hear is birdsong, sheep and the river !!
