Dalesgate Hotel - Self Check In, hotel in Steeton

The Dalesgate Hotel - Self Check In is a friendly, family-run property, offering bed & breakfast for those looking to stay close to the Yorkshire Dales and Bronte Country.

On the plus side, the bed linen seemed clean. Confusingly, Bookingdotcom had sent me a pin code for door entry, which was different from the one sent by the hotel. This caused an issue with entering the building, but was sorted after a call to the hotel helpline. There were no staff in the hotel at any time, except at breakfast, which was great.

Hotel had everything we required. It was 1 mile out of town but a nice walk along the Canal. It had the choice of 2 dining options, or there is a pub just a short distance away. Breakfast was amazing, enough to please everyone. Would highly recommend staying here.

The Craiglands Hotel Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western, hotel in Steeton

The Craiglands Hotel Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western is set in mature, landscaped grounds and is just a 5-minute walk from Ilkley town centre. Free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking are available.

Finding the entrance to the hotel was difficult, but once there everything was fine. It was just an overnight stop on our way up north. The food was average nothing to write home about. The staff were excellent.

Not a luxury hotel or manor by any stretch, perfectly adequate if dated pub and restaurant, more like a B&B with a dining room. Do not accept room 11, it is above the kitchen and absolutely stinks of chip fat. The beds are small doubles, so not suitable for larger people or couples who want to stretch out. Good breakfast, staff very nice.

This is a charming Yorkshire village, on the outskirts of Keighley, so very good for the Keighley and Worth Steam Railway, and the Bronte Parsonage at Haworth. It is also close to Airedale General Hospital, so very convenient for those attending training courses at the hospital, as I was on previous visits.
