Breakfast was fine. Although I only had cereal & toast as it was an either or with the hot breakfast and not both which is very limiting and not great value.

I liked the location. It was near to my daughter.
I liked the bar. Though it shut very early every night.
I liked the parking timer, which was useful.

An interesting planned resort which is very different from anywhere else on the Cumberland coast. Historically interesting. The town is separated from the sea by a wide Green. Great sunsets over the Solway Firth facing Scotland.

Silloth is beautiful in my opinion it has everything you need. It is ideally situated as it has the best of both worlds, the sea and the countryside are both on the doorstep. We love this place so much we are planning to move here in the very near future 🤞

Silloth is a lovely small coastal village. It is easy to travel the lakes from there. There are places to eat. We ate at the Golf hotel during our stay and it was an excellent meal. The cottage we booked was excellent, very quiet, comfortable and well equipped

We asked for a bath and got one but other than that the room was grotty with a miserable view of nothing. We knew some of the rooms had been decorated and thought because it was quiet, we'd be offered a good room, no!, we were shoved in the grotty one.

I could have stayed longer but we had limited time. Favorite places were the promenade on which we were able to take elderly relative, much to her enjoyment, also for my wife and me to walk on, and me to run along; the main street with square sets and colorful shop fronts; chatting with people fishing near the harbor. We sense that there is a great community spirit. Learnt that there is an excellent golf course, but the town is not all about recreation - there is biscuit factory, specialized concrete factory and fibre plant

Recommend if you’re looking for a picturesque and quiet location on the edge of the Lake District
Wonderfully welcoming hospitality from Graeme and, my goodness, I enjoyed those breakfasts!! Comfortable and clean en suite single room with a lovely sea view, useful mini fridge supplied with fresh milk and bottled water, and lots of interesting books dotted around the guest house to borrow! Silloth itself is a tranquil place with a peaceful promenade walk and further along there is a clean, sandy beach. I stayed three nights and left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Thank you very much, Graeme, I hope to return one day.
A Victorian style hotel with spacious rooms, high ceilings, and a lot of memorabilia. There were even hat and coat brushes in the room! The vintage furniture is smartly combined with modern comfort, making it a very pleasant place to stay. The manager is very knowledgable about local history and will eagerly share it with you in the saloon while serving drinks from the stylish bar. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The guest house also serves dinner, though we haven’t tried it.
The location is ideal for us, a short walk into Silloth, which is a place we like. Also places like, Keswick, Cockermouth, Workington are easy to get to from the site. The apartment had a nice new shower, and central heating, which was available to use day and night.
Very friendly helpful staff.Nothing too much trouble for them. The food was great and bar prices were reasonable.Only a 2 minute walk to the sea .Local facilities very close and very adequate.Lovely little gem of a seaside town.Thank you all at the Golf Hotel.
Hotel is in a lovely location, being just across the green from a lovely pagoda and view of the sea. Staff are very friendly, and happy to provide directions to public transport - and even a USB charger after I'd lost mine! Breakfast options were good.
View from window of golf links appreciated. Rather heavy traffic during day. Very close to helpful pub. Parking at first awkward, then easier. Walking distance to Silloth. Well equipped kitchen
The location was ideal for us as we were visiting a relative in the Silloth Care Home.
The kitchen was new and very well designed for a small galley kitchen.
