This charming family-run hotel has a great restaurant and a wonderful, peaceful location on Whitby’s West Cliff, near the seafront and within walking distance of the town center.

Depending what type of a holiday you want this location is quiet and relaxing but there are lots of pleasant walks in country and Sandsend seashore. If you have transport nearby Whitby and surrounding area has some great places to visit. Me my wife and dogs opted for a chill out holiday with some nice local walks and plenty of relaxing in garden areas. We used local eateries and nearby Raithwaite hotel is a lovely place with outstanding gardens, totally enjoyable holiday.

Lovely picturesque coastal village, nice beaches , just went for a stroll, walked past these lovely cottages next to river, loads of ducks and their babies. Would love to go back and maybe stay in cottage there.
