A nice old pub in the centre of the village. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a decent size and recently refurbished. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the menu looked intersting and a cut above the usual pub fare. Excellent breakfast.

The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and with good variety.
The room facilities were everything that we expected from it and the staff were very accommodating when we needed to change from being served in the restaurant, to taking the food to our room.

This is deep farming country, rich and fertile land with plenty of trees. At night the stars astonish a town-dulled eye. It is hard to distinguish between the outstanding comfort of our lodging and the merits of its surroundings. To our eyes at least simple delight.
