Location was fantastic and the stay was great value for money
In vibrant Blackpool, this 4-star hotel has free Wi-Fi, a gym and paid parking. The Big Blue Hotel has its own private entrance to Blackpool Pleasure Beach open at selected times.

The hotel is located next to the Pleasure Beach and offers VIP access for guests which was a lovely bonus.
The room was comfortable and very clean. There was fidelity to branding throughout the hotel - mints on reception, coffee sachets, stickers on toilet rolls etc - which was a nice touch. We looked out onto the park with some of the rollercoaster tracks just metres from the window, but there was no noise whilst we were in the room.
There is a sizeable restaurant and a smaller bar which got full each night of our stay. The breakfast had a reasonable selection of hot and cold options, prepared and cooked well, along with juice and coffee machines. The evening bar and restaurant staff were very friendly.
There is a car park but it was very busy during our stay. It was expensive compared to local Council car parks e.g. South Beach just a few minutes walk away.
Situated on Queen’s Promenade with fantastic views over the Irish Sea, The Doric offers locally sourced, fresh food, 2 swimming pools and a spa bath. There is free parking available on site.

Love the hotel however the last 4 times I've stayed I've payed for a sea view and been situated on the North and South sides of the hotel with what I can only describe as a partial sea view.

Lovely guesthouse, spotlessly clean. We stayed in a basic family room and were pleasantly surprised to find it split into two separate bedrooms. Excellent value for money. Very impressed. Location was great, really close to the south pier, sandcastle water park and the pleasure Beach.
