The best part of our entire stay was definitely the breakfast. The staff were nice, but the food was lovely and there was very much a camaraderie amongst the guests because of the events the night before.

Enjoyed the McCrossan walking tour- gives you an understanding of the history and you get your bearings to walk around independently. The Guildhall was interesting and well worth a visit. Good choice of restaurants and bars. We had a lovely meal at Fitzroy, drinks at Badgers pub and a great traditional music evening at Peader O’Donnell’s pub. Great shopping centre too - Dunne’s is a great shop !

There is a lot of history to learn of particular interest to the British from the first settlement to the present day. To appreciate the city it is necessary to walk everywhere- over the peace bridge, along the road with the murals in Bogside, around the Guildhall, walk the city walls and visit museums etc. Plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Really friendly helpful people. Very easy city to navigate.
Really friendly helpful people. Very easy city to navigate. Highly recommend participating in a walking tour (around the walled area) of the city. Takes about an hour, but is really helpful (historically).
We had just an overnight & until the following early afternoon. Will definitely be returning!

We went on a guided tour of city and it was really worthwhile and enlightening and gave us a feel of what the city has been through. Our accommodation was within walking distance a brilliant location . Exchange rate made things expensive. Definitely worth a visit and we will certainly return, easy to drive around.

We booked and paid for the hot tub and didn’t even use it as as soon as we checked in we leave and tried to find a better hotel
I also asked for champagne and sweets on arrival as you are not aloud to bring your own drink and we didn’t revive any thing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the City Hotel, which is located in the city centre. We had a lovely room overlooking the River Foyle and the Ebrington foot bridge. The gym and swimming pool were excellent as was the breakfast, even though there was queue, it moved quickly and we were not kept waiting too long. The reception and concierge staff were very friendly in a unpretentious way. The city itself is interesting and there were lots of places to eat, including in the bar at the hotel.
I would normally stay in hotels as I don't really like B&B 's because you are in people's houses & are worried about making noise etc, but with this Garden Room you are out on your own not having to bother anyone. My daughter & I had a great stay , location good not too far from city centre, taxi only £4, which we only used at night to go into centre fof a drink.
Had an excellent meal @ Fitzroys Restaurant, would definitely recommend.., although book in advance before you go.
2 queen beds were very comfortable. Enough chairs for both of us to sit and watch tv, plus one other. Big towels, and nice toiletries. Fridge. Quiet carpeted corridors and self closing doors. Ground floor room was easy for our dog. Could open the windows to air the room. Hotel is quite a walk from the city centre but it is at the end of the quay trail which is a pleasant stroll by the river and a place to execise the dog
This is an absolutely fabulous 'snug', a well equipped kitchen and longue on the ground floor and a delightful bedroom with a massive bed on the first (with an attached shower room and lavatory). I have stayed in many hotels and rented apartments on my travels over the last 12 years and this was the greatest place I've stayed in. And you will pay more to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Derry (and I have!)
I truly enjoyed staying in a genuine Irish neighborhood rather then a touristic hotel. I also really appreciated the lovely terrace in back with a stunning view over the center of Derry. There’s a restaurant and bar on site, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal there the second night. The breakfast options were also excellent, including a traditional Ulster fry for only an additional £4.
When in Derry/Londonderry, I always hang my hat in the Shipquay Boutique - apart from being a stunning hotel, the staff make it the best, and every stay worthwhile! From check-in, the reception staff were welcoming and resolved a personal request about my room...Top class! Even a complimentary glass of Prosecco ! Thanks guys and see you soon :-)
The woman working the front desk was WONDERFUL - kind, knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and good sense of humor. Made us feel sincerely welcome and gave wonderful tips for our visit to Northern Ireland. A true gem! The other staff we encountered was also very friendly. The hotel was clean and conveniently located.
Smart, modern hotel that acknowledged the history around it. Large, comfortable rooms. Breakfast offer was extensive and delicious Short walk into Derry/Londonderry across the Peace Bridge. The pub connected to the hotel was informal and very relaxing. Staff were very friendly.
Very nice place to stay. Conveniently close to Londonderry.
Unfortunate timing for us that the field next to the property was just freshly laid with manure. Couldn't open windows to let in air. Staff was really quick to bring us fans though.
The room is large with lots of space compared to normal hotel rooms. The bathroom as well is a good size. Everything was clean. It has water, tea, and small snacks in the room. Breakfast has a good variety. city centre is a short walk.
the staff very helpful and friendly. ready to help with anything. room great, clean, spacious, view was beautiful. vegetarian and gluten free options.hotel in the city centre, with car park or public carpark very close.
Everything… a beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean, fabulously helpful staff, delicious food, lovely bar & restaurant, comfortable rooms & only a 5 min drive to the city centre … Will definitely be back again 😃👍👍
Redgate had the best location just on the outskirts of town (with a fabulous view of Londonderry). The house is a stately and Elish is a wonderful friend hostess. We would certainly stay here again.
Perfect location, staff were brilliant, very friendly and great service all round. Food was excellent and the cocktails were 10/10. Will definitely be back to the Waterfoot Hotel.
It was a very-very nice place. The proximity to dining and such was great. The staff was very friendly. I would recommend to others planning to travel to Derry Londonderry!
The price was a bit dear but given the Foyle cup was on i expected rates to go up but if nothing was on and was the same price as it was id spend the extra for a hotel room.
The hotel is in prime city centre location, within walking distance to all attractions and shopping. The breakfast had a full selection and was delicious.
