Pennine Manor Hotel, hotel in Huddersfield

The friendly Pennine Manor offers free Wi-Fi, good food and free parking, with panoramic views of the Yorkshire countryside. The M62 is a 5-minute drive away.

I liked that fact that the room was on the ground floor as my mum was elderly and avoided the stairs. However, I did see a stair lift. The restaurant and bar were in the same building. It was quiet.

Wild moorland a short bus trip away.

Wild moorland a short bus trip away. Town full of interesting Victorian architecture. Magnificent mosque just near property. Warm and welcoming parish church. Went to inspiring Mass in 1830's St Patrick's.Canals and waterways at nearby Mirfield.Good base for visiting much of Yorkshire by train. Happy faces - I presume not just because of the fine weather.

Amazing place to stay beautiful location and very clean and immaculate better than a 5* hotel standards were high. Only only flaw and I think this is a problem With booking.com that they need to be very clear on there page about deposit required by the host once booked otherwise you lose your money . This is in the fine print which like me many people do no read . But the stay was superb and will be booking again .

    The house is perfect.

The house is perfect. Be ready for stairs though as it has 3 levels. Had everything you needed (except a potato masher lol). Cleanliness 100%. Parking was plenty adequate. Location is perfect, not too much of a walk to town. TV in each bedroom is a bonus. I loved staying there, we were on a trip, we had stay overs in Scotland, London, Liverpool and Huddersfield. Huddersfield was by far the best of the accommodation. I could easily live there. Would 100% recommend this to other travelers.

The staff at Cedar Court Huddersfield are extremely professional and helpful in all departments. Good breakfast choice with cooked options if you ask. Evening food is delicious and nicely presented Good choice of gluten free options. Nightmare getting AWAY from a John Smiths Stadium concert! Gridlocked around the stadium for 2-3 hours. Many taxi firms refuse to do pick ups at this time. Seek refuge in The Yorkshire Rose pub next to the Stadium. Hope Hotel could put on a return transfer somehow! First concert right next to a hillside covered in trees! Beautiful Yorkshire countryside with lots to see and do so close by.

It's easy to get around on foot.

It's easy to get around on foot. There are a lot of interesting looking places to eat. The Turkish cafe did a great breakfast platter that was absolutely the highlight of my stay. A lot of the town feels run down and at night a little unsafe. There are some okay nightlife spots, but on Friday night they were nearly empty, as were most of the eateries I passed.

I absolutely loved the room it definitely exceeded my expectations, the staff were amazing. They really put in the effort for us both, honestly I do not have a bad thing to say. I was greeted by a lady who was very helpful and so polite I could see that she really valued her job.. The room was so lovely and well presented. I will 100 percent be recommending The Plumbers Arms to anyone who wishes to stay in the heart of Huddersfield. Yours Sincerely, Dominique Allison & Travis Fitzgerald.

Traditional inn that keeps the spirit of West Yorkshire alive, just a short drive from Huddersfield. Well maintained, clean and cosy rooms, no noise from outside even though the restaurant was busy. Comfortable bed, good bathroom/ toilet/ shower, loved the coffee machine with pods, which is way better than the minimal pouches of cheap instant that others offer. Staff was courteous, food was great. I would definitely stay again.

Nothing: There was nothing to like about this hotel. It’s not even a hotel but a house and they don’t have anyone on reception to answer. I tried checking in multiple times and they didn’t even let us in and never picked up the call. I wasted my money for 2 nights and I ended up finding another place to stay for the night which was extremely difficult and uncomfortable. They didn’t even refunded me the amount.

Fantastic convenient location for the University, Town Centre, short walk from train station. I had a studio at the back of the building and there was no noise from either the road or the town, Has everything you need to self-cater. Very good value for money - so not luxury in terms of fixtures and fittings, but very clean, practical. Studio itself was recently decorated and was comfortable for a short break.

Central location and a secure parking space. Room was lovely. Molton Brown toiletries, the usual tea/coffee/water, dressing gowns and branded towels. I actually think the hotel has gone a bit too far with luxuries. We had a nice view at the front towards the Town Hall. Room 203......I got it at a bargain price. Would defo stay there again if visiting Huddersfield.

A lovely location for an overnight stop over. I stay in hotels, all over the country, every week and the Woodman rates very highly among the many places I stay at. Rooms are very comfortable and well priced. The food is of a high standard and the staff are great. I will always use the Woodman if I need to stay in the vicinity in the future.

We loved the clean fresh feel, the very comfy bed and the proximity to Huddersfield John Smith Stadium. It is walking distance to the town centre and plenty of places to get a coffee or a pizza. Plenty of on street parking nearby. Communication with the owner was very good. We would 100% stay here again.

In general the staff were nice and especially the team at the bar/breakfast. The price paid matched the type of hotel and the type of room selected - reasonably good value for money. The room was clean and, in general, the hotel was clean and tidy.
