The Sleep-Inn Hare B&B, hotel in Herne Bay

Set in Herne Bay and only 1.2 km from Herne Bay Beach, The Sleep-Inn Hare B&B offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Only stayed the one night but it met all our expectations. We were in Room 4 (twin bedded); a large room with the nice touch of a dressing area as you go through into the bathroom (large shower - plentiful hot water). Plenty of room to put the suitcase out of the way and a large full length mirror. A nice touch in the bathroom - a shower mat. So many properties do not provide these but very welcome when they do. Plenty of tea and coffee sachets, milk and a couple of packs of biscuits. A large bottle of water was provided too. Very comfortable mattresses too. As it was a Sunday, breakfast was served between 8.30 to 9.30 am. Pleasant dining room and good service - nothing was to much trouble. The B&B is a short walk (10 minutes) to the sea front and we ate in the recommended "Ship Inn". We did not book but at 6.00 pm, the staff easily fitted us in. Excellent food with a pleasant view overlooking the sea. Lovely walk towards the twin towers of Reculver. Would return for another stay should we visit this area again.

If you like fish and chips, kebabs and amusement arcades, Herne Bay will probably suit - provided it doesn't rain as there is very little to do. There is a serious lack of decent restaurants and almost none open before Thursday! Whitstable and Broadstairs are definitely better to visit.

Attractions in Herne Bay are limited, but worth walking out to the pier to see people catching crabs. Very peaceful walks and lovely sky scapes. Good access to nearby Canterbury, an interesting town and Cathedral to see. Also easy to get to Whitstable which has a great High Street and quirky shops. Whitstable has lots of restaurants and coffee places and is a lovely town to explore and plenty of history with the oyster catching. So using Herne Bay as a base there are lots of interesting places to visit around that part of Kent.

We have visited Herne Bay many times and enjoy being there. Their are plenty of pubs and restaurants, cafe s to suit all pockets. We enjoy walking along the sea front and along the pier . We have also witnessed some amazing sunsets there.

We have family who live in Herne Bay, so I’ve been a few times for various reasons, though this was the 1st I’d stayed anywhere outside of their home. I like it there! There’s always something to do, a good choice of shops-more than you see initially. When we’ve visited in the summer, we’ve enjoyed Air shows, classic car parades, live music and Caribbean food on the pier, the Cartoon festival or even just a BBQ on the beach. The beach is mostly sandy but nearer the beach huts, the sand turns to shingle.

On a walking holiday so only stayed one night but the Aqua Bay Guest House was spot on - would recommend. Ate in a Turkish restaurant - A La Turka - on the seafront in the evening and it was excellent.

Herne Bay is a charming seaside town. Good choice of cafes and restaurants. A very good Sri Lankan restaurant opposite the pier. Lovely food. Good transport links to other seaside towns, and very close to Canterbury. So easy to reach from London. I found it very friendly as a lone traveller. A had a lovely short break.

This spacious apartment, just a few steps from the Herne Bay seafront, is truly the ideal home base for spending a few days exploring Kent. It includes two bedrooms, two separate bathrooms and a large living room with kitchen; moreover, it has a dedicated parking space. Despite being within walking distance of the town center, it is particularly quiet and guarantees a good night's sleep. A special mention for the nice and kind owner.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Amazing room, spotlessly clean, spacious, love the decoration and finishing touches, Luke has worked very hard to make it spot on! Very friendly and nothing too much trouble, small bar area downstairs and cute outside space to sit and have a drink. Delicious breakfast, and bonus of their own car park. Excellent location in a residential road. Would definitely love to stay again and definitely recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Location and surrounding towns to visit (Herne Bay, Margate, Broadstairs, Whitstable, Rochester - all lovely places), privacy and security in own fenced/locked gated area of Lisa’s garden, large car parking space, comfort, value for money. The property suited our short stay (4 nights) needs and was well equipped with separate kitchen and patio. Lisa was very nice over the phone/quick to respond to messages.

The B&B is on a quiet residential road within walking distance of the parade/High St of Herne Bay. Hot breakfast was prepared to order and it was all really well done; Luke's scrambled eggs were really good. The room we had also had a lovely sitting room with very comfortable sofa and the decor throughout was very stylish. Luke and Rachel were charming and helpful hosts.

Communication with the owner was great and I was able to check in earlier than I had originally anticipated giving me the rest of the day to explore Herne Bay. I was given a friendly welcome, advice on the best places to eat and shown to my room which had a view of the garden. I had a comfortable night's rest and in the morning was served a tasty full English breakfast.

The location is perfect for a stay in Herne Bay, there is a pat car park opposite the accommodation but the host can arrange for 24 hour parking for you at an additional cost of £10.00 which we took. The property is clean and has everything you need , the host is very attentive and helpful with the local area and places to eat and drink
