Falcon Manor Hotel, hotel in Hellifield

Built in 1841, this Grade II listed building has retained many period features, with converted and tastefully furnished interiors creating the warm and friendly atmosphere.

Location was lovely as were gardens Food was excellent but served in shifts eg toast was ordered but came after breakfast after reminders. Probably due to shortage of staff as only 2 in dining area one was doubling up on reception and other seemed inexperienced. Decor was a bit tired and bathroom could do with updating. Mould around bath didn't help. Didn't live up to reviews on site.

Lovely pub/inn inside and out, Staff are very friendly and professional. Food, although pricey, is absolutely beautiful and worth every penny. As an ale lover, Timothy Taylor Landlord was perfect, better than they serve it down where I live in the midlands. Room was spacious, nicely presented, clean and tidy.

Fantastic location for getting into the dales.

Fantastic location for getting into the dales. I came with my 2 children and 2 dogs. My children really liked the chocolate station a very good touch. I enjoyed the sweats. Local shop chip shop and pub were all very welcoming. Balsamini's Pizzeria are amazing. And the black horse does a cracking burger.

I liked the calm , peaceful and friendly atmosphere in the village 😊. Everyone says hello and mean it, they stop and chat with you and genuinely want to know how you're doing. It's a very lovely place 😊. The Black horse pub serves good burgers and generous portion of chunky chips.

Stayed here to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks as we couldn’t get in anywhere closer. It was only about 20 minutes away though so not too bad. We are at the pub both dinner and breakfast both of which were lovely

A small place for an overnight stay, village atmosphere with limited shops. Main traction is the railway station: Grade ll listed with regular services to the famed Settle and Carlisle route, and steam trains on the main line. The original buffet/waiting room is renovated and privately operated providing from Tuesday - Saturday (and Sundays if steam trains running) meals and drinks; the place is popular with walkers, train enthusiasts and locals who walk up from the village for tea, coffee and gossip. I once drove up 300 miles from the south to breakfast at Hellifield station!
