This is a nice place for an overnight stay. The bed was comfy and although the bathroom was really tiny, the shower was good. The food in the bar was delicious and the view outside of the river was lovely.

Lovely stay in a friendly Country Inn attached to a lovely country pub ! We all slept awesomely… very quiet and the bed is super comfortable! Very helpful hostess for our needs. All went so smoothly .

Came for a wedding. Hotel was the best value for money in the area. Nice rooms in a good location near amenities.

So we checked in the afternoon dropped our stuff and went immediately out to meet friends for dinner. The 1st thing I noticed when we opened the door was the smell. Damp/musty moth ball type smell. Later that night around 10:30 11pm we went to go to bed. I noticed a hair on the bed, on closer inspection we then found a hell of a lot of hair, lifting the sheets and pillow cases we found both human and animal hair in the sheets, pillow cases, duvet etc. Not small amounts there was clumps and random hairs everywhere. My partner went down to reception to complain and was followed back by the porter. He agreed it was disgusting but said there was no other rooms to swap us to and the best he could do was bring us spare sheets to change the bedding ourself. Obviously not what we wanted to do at that time of night nor something we should of had to do. I should also point out it was not a double or king-size bed like advertised it was 2 single beds pushed together. Upon pulling off the sheets and the carefully placed runner across the end of the bed we found a huge stain on the bed sheets (clearly tried to be hidden with the runner) again we showed the porter when he came back to the room. And he again said it was disgusting and we suggested maybe the sheets haven't been changed at all from the previous guests. The porter was lovely and it's not his fault but it was frustrating when he kept coming back to the room with single bedding and not the sizes needed for the duvet etc so my partner ended up going down and finding it all himself in the end as we just wanted to sleep. The porter told us he would log all the information and for us to put in a complaint at reception the following morning. We did but unfortunately he did not leave any details or log it like he said he would. And he took the dirty/hairy bedding away with him that night so we couldn't show them either so that was a little annoying! The breakfast was awful to.

Staff were wonderful.

Room was large and quiet, at the rear of the Inn. Bed was comfortable, the evening menu was good. Nicely prepared meal. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Good Full English breakfast. Comfortable seating and very friendly staff. Easy to find as it is right alongside an A road.

Good continental breakfast. Lovely location. Very quiet and relaxing.

Best place I have stayed in the UK so far. Nice old house in a nice area. Big, clean and confortable room. Great english breakfast and a very nice host.
