Dog friendly is an understatement, they were so accommodating to us and our rather filthy dog having walked Offa's Dyke that day. Lovely big room and enjoyed the bath!

Parking was very easy.
The whole place had a cosy feel about it and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! All very clean, tidy and warm in the main building.
Lots of choice at breakfast and a very cosy reading room - a good idea!

Highly recommend the accommodation and the pub and restaurant, there was a bonus of outside pizza ovens and bar and tea/coffee too - wonderful. The room was comfortable, everything I needed was in the room and the location was a dream by the river and really quiet.
Situated in the beautiful unspoiled Royal Forest of Dean, this modern hotel boasts its own golf course and superb facilities for conferences, recreational activities or quiet relaxation.
Lovely village in the middle of the Wye Valley. Gorgeous walks and also a great castle. Quiet and away from it all, a 15 minute drive to nearby Ross-on-Wye. We loved Sunday lunch at the Hostelrie in Goodrich it was delicious with excellent service. We also booked canoes for a day on the Wye, lots of fun! Close to Monmouth as well which was a nice day out.

Goodrich is an attractive place but there's not much there...
Goodrich is an attractive place but there's not much there apart from the castle, which was closed and a pub which was also closed for refurbishment. Lots of lovely walks in the area though, so we weren't too bothered about the size of the village.

Interesting little village.
Interesting little village. Goodrich Castle was lovely to visit. We got confused navigating around Goodrich, even though it is small. Very easy access off the A40. Lovely/spectacular walks in the area (especially around Symonds Yat, plus good boating there too) and close to the Wye Valley too. Easy to visit Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye from here. Despite good reviews for the Cross Keys Inn we had a very disappointing and over-priced meal there. However, there are other pubs/restaurants to eat in (both in the village and in the villages close by), but we didn't get to try them. Many options from Goodrich for sightseeing and walking. Quite a good bus service from Goodrich to Monmouth (service 34). At Monmouth use bus service 69 to explore the Wye River Valley.
