Great location for park and ride into York. On arrival first impression was that it looked clean and fresh. Greeted with a warm welcome. Rooms were well nicely laid out and well equipped for the budget and very clean. Excellent breakfast.

Tea & coffee provided but no milk, we don't drink milk so it wasn't a issue for use. We didn't ask as it wasn't needed.
Outside garden is well kept with view of the horses in the field.

Excellent property that (as a disabled person) met my needs - this was my first trip out since disability and was nervous - but no need. Cottage 3 met my requirements and the requirements of the other 5 adults + 1 dog. Thankyou.

Flaxton is a small village - very pretty and well kept. Even though the Thompson Arms is just outside the village, it is obviously very popular with the locals, and has a lively and friendly clientele. We were made to feel most welcome.

I needed to be fairly close to Malton as I had business...
I needed to be fairly close to Malton as I had business there, but needed a reasonably priced overnight stay as I had further work in Scarborough the following day. With more time the proximity to Castle Howard would have been a big plus.
Great for a one night stay. Room was very clean comfortable bed tea and coffee available in room. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We were going to a wedding a couple of miles up the road he provided taxi survices knowing we would struggle to get one late at night. Breakfast was a full English. This is a good value for money bed and breakfast, if you are looking for a 5 star hotel with full facilities then this is not the place. You get great accomodation a lovely pub great hosts.

The location was a perfect base to travel around the area. Easy access to York and Whitby Bay by car. We were made to feel extremely welcome and it was lovely meeting the local residents in the evening and sharing a drink. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and very good value, would recommend.
Brilliant place to stay.!.. Spotlessly clean and an ideal location for visiting York, Castle Howard, Malton, Scarborough etc! really good to spend an evening in the bar chatting with Stuart and other friendly locals!!
Everything else was great. Lovely hosts and super comfy bed. It is a great location for exploring York and the surrounding areas. Despite the noise issues we'd stay again and also recommed this property.
