Edern is a very small village so you will have to travel for facilities, it is close enough to walk to the beach within 30 minutes. Also within 20-30 mins drive of Abersoch and Pwhelli. Good local restaurants would highly recommend Yr Heliwr a community pub/restaurant in Nefyn 5-10 minutes drive away the food was excellent. If you are in the area please try it, great food and good value. Nefyn golf club was friendly and spectacular even on a windy day.

A small village along the local main road. Not much in the village, but that was no problem because we liked the quiet and there is a great local shop and garage a few miles away. Also not far from beaches and walks.

If you're searching for the location on Google you'll need to search for "Edern". The reason I stayed here was because it was the closest location to Porthdinllaen peninsula and seemed to be a great central location to explore the Llŷn Peninsula in more detail - perfect on both counts. The village is very quiet, full of beautiful little cottages and not too far from Morfa Nefyn and Nefyn if you need shops, etc. The only place I ate at here was the hotel I stayed in, Woodlands Hall Hotel which was reasonably priced.

For us it was all about location, to explore the Nefyn coastline. The cottage was excellent for this, we could walk everywhere safely with our little dog. Local pub near by and a local shop in village.

A nice little village in close proximity to the beach.

A nice little village in close proximity to the beach. It was close to Nefyn beach and the famous beach bar Ty Coch inn in Porthdinllaen. I can understand why this has been rated one of the best beach pubs in the world. Great if you wish for a little peace and quiet. Also there are a few amenities like a basic shop and a couple of restaurant bars. A car is handy.
