First of all, Theresa, she was so perfect about treating us. We felt like we are friends and family rather than visitors. The room and the bathroom was beyond clean. :) We fell in love with the details, from the complementary capsule coffees to the usb and electric outlets installed on the nightstand. Breakfast was delicious and fresh.

The Conval House is an exceptional to stay. The proprietor, Linda' was was a truly lovely lady who was most helpful to me in my visit. She reminded me of the joy in staying at a Bed & Breakfast rather than an impersonal hotel. In addition to first rate accommodations, the breakfast was truly exceptional. First time I ever had cooked cherry tomatoes--delicious. The bottom line is that I couldn't think of anything I didn't like about Conval House. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

The house is in a great location near the center of town. The layout works well with the bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen had everything needed. The entire property was exceptionally clean. Parking at the front door was easy.
Set high above the village of Charlestown of Aberlour and overlooking the River Spey, this elegant country hotel is an ideal venue for shooting and fishing, and for whiskey-lovers.

There is only 1 Bar in Dufftown and it’s basic but has a dart board but that’s your lot.now as others lost business to Covid. There’s an Indian which is average and take away which is basic. Advise to book places to eat in Aberlour to avoid disappointment. Whisky tours only accept online bookings.

The people were friendly.
The people were friendly. Unfortunately the tourist information office had been shut down. There were plenty of distilleries nearby if you had a car. There were good walking tracts if you had a medium level of fitness. There is only one pub as far as I know but I would recommend the restaurant as the food which was excellent.

Charming little town in the heart of whisky country!
Charming little town in the heart of whisky country! Glenfiddich Distillery with its excellent visitor facilities situated in the town and several other distilleries open to view in the locality. An interesting ruin, Balvenie Castle, to explore on the outskirts of the town. Dufftown also boasts its own heritage railway which is definitely worth a visit. Beautiful walks and lovely scenery around the town.

Only a few restaurants in and around town make sure you reserve ahead. If you plan on going to the distillery's or the Speyside cooperage also make sure you book ahead. Dufftown golf course is public and is nearby and will rent you decent clubs. Great course. ACE taxis if you had too much good Whisky.

We stayed for 8 nights during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival and the location was pretty central for many of the events. Lots of lovely places to visit during the day in the surrounding area.
Loved the Dufftown Glassworks, a little coffeeshop come art gallery, and the Seven Stills restaurant was extremely good for a special meal.
There are only three places left in Dufftown serving hot food in the evening - even the local chippie has closed down. The only cafe, The Coffee Pot, opens at 9am (10am at the weekend), which was too late for us for breakfast, and closes at 3pm, so we didn't use it during our visit. Everything else has closed down and there are no signs of any other businesses moving in to take their place. The only other option for an evening meal is to go further afield, and the buses stop running very early evening, so you have to either drive or take a cab. We were there for the whisky festival, so driving was obviously out of the question, and the taxi cabs were totally booked up (because it was the whisky festival...). We were fortunate that we had cooking facilities at our accommodation and could make do.
Pretty disappointed with the public transport. I believe that they put on extra services in previous years for the festival, but not this year. Even one single late bus would have been useful - on the biggest week of the year for tourism the last bus leaving Elgin for Dufftown was 6.35pm!

The town is beautiful and clean, but we couldn’t find a restaurant which was open at around 14:30 on a Tuesday after we finished our whiskey tour. None of the nearby castles were open. I’d avoid being there on a Monday or Tuesday as most restaurants only open on Wednesdays.

The hosts at the Gables are two of the friendliest and welcoming you will find anywhere. The house is spotlessly clean, the bed extremely comfortable, the breakfast delicious and plentiful, and there is a whisky room with over 450 choices!!! Nestled in the countryside about 2 miles outside of Dufftown the scenery is amazing and the the location perfect for touring Speyside and the distilleries. Book your stay TODAY!
Nice spot in town center. Large room, well appointed. Proper glassware for a dram in the room is a nice touch. Co-Op right round the corner and a few lovely whisky shops. Easy walk to Glenfiddich and then the bus route also hits some great places like Highlander Inn and Fiddichside Inn. If you're adventurous take the 5 mile riverside walk from Craigellachie back to Dufftown, it was beautiful.
Andy & Laura have gone above and beyond to create such a beautiful, welcoming and special space. The furnishings and design are exquisite. I wish we had stayed longer!
Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared.
Quiet town, but the location was perfect for exploring the distilleries in Speyside. There was a great Indian restaurant around the corner.
I really enjoyed my stay at Morven, the room is exactly as shown in the pictures, clean and comfy, having a wee bit to sit outside was a bonus. Great location right in the centre of Dufftown, plenty of choice for food very close to house, cafe, restuarants, hotels an indian and a chinese. Quiet and peaceful.
I would recommend Morven
The location was within minutes of the centre of Dufftown. Linda, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the room was spacious and very clean. As well the location was great for getting to nearby towns, local whisky distilleries and the Speyside cooperage.
Theresa was a wonderful host, very fun and accommodating. The room had tea and coffee, and there was a lovely dram of scotch in the room! Great location for visiting Speyside distilleries and countryside. The private bathroom was external, but it was large and well appointed.
The hosts were very nice and gave us a warm welcoming. Their house is located in the center of Dufftown. Her room was cozy and clean and quiet. Oh, their breakfast was fantastic! If you have the chance to visit Speyside, it is worth staying there.
A delightful B&B in Dufftown. Kira and Tom are excellent hosts and have created a lovely guesthouse. This is an excellent place from which to explore the distilleries and everything this area has to offer. I would recommend it to anyone.
The house is in a great location near the center of town. The layout works well with the bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen had everything needed. The entire property was exceptionally clean. Parking at the front door was easy.
Teresa is a wonderful owner of Dunvegan B&B. I recommend everyone to visit this location when visiting Dufftown. Very clean with enough space cozy rooms. You should also try delicious breakfast with multiple choices.
The location was perfect for seeing Dufftown and exploring Speyside. The owners were so very friendly and helpful with questions. They really knew the area and were excited to offer ideas for seeing the town.
We were blown away upon arrival. Spacious, clean, great amenities, location. We are honestly thinking of a return to Speyside and staying here for a number of days, making this our basis of operation.
Yet to stay anywhere nicer in Dufftown than the Robin Inn.
Exceeded expectations.
Rooms are decorated beautifully and are immaculate… not a speck of dust!
Recommend everyone to stay here!
This is a lovely spotlessly clean cottage facing the main street in Dufftown. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and will certainly use the cottage again should we decide to return to the area.
