The hotel was not expensive and was in a decent position in Coldstream. The room was basic but reasonably comfortable. Some of the bathroom fittings could have done with being replaced/upgraded. Don't leave the window open at night! The traffic outside is very noisy - we closed the window on our second night and it was fine! The owner and his wife were lovely and a) made us feel very welcome; and b) prepared good food - both breakfast and dinner.

A perfect location for a short break. The lodge was well equipped and very comfortable with awesome breakfast options. Great place. Sat nav takes you to a wrong place but when you are there , you feel so comfortable. We were greeted by the owner, she showed around. Everything was very clean and fit for purpose.

If you like to be in a remote setting, Duddo couldn't be...
If you like to be in a remote setting, Duddo couldn't be better. Wildlife at every turn and stunning countryside. You can walk for hours and not see a soul. Great base for visiting Lindisfarne, Hadrians Wall and the beautiful Northumberland beaches.
