Great location right outside of Drymen. Easy walking distance to town for meals and drinks. Great recommendations from Colin, who greeted us on arrival. His feline staff (Tilda) was a real charmer, as was the sheep who peacefully grazed outside our window one afternoon.

The village is beautiful - Flowers everywhere! Plenty of places to eat and a local Spar . Bus is approx. every hour and always on time. This takes you to Balloch where you can pick up other transport options (Bus/Train) to explore further.

Nice visit if get right accommodation.

Nice visit if get right accommodation. Unfortunately we stayed at the Buchanan Arms Hotel, and I have uploaded a bunch of photos of our supposedly SUPERIOR KING room - 2 singled beds pushed together. The Mill House is lovely to go to for drink and meal. nearby hotel entertainment is on in local pubs.

I would say the hotel is a no frills establishment.

I would say the hotel is a no frills establishment. It's clean and comfortable , but in my view is tired and in need of updating. For me and has been mentioned many times by others is the poor breakfast on offer. In all the hotels I have stayed at I've never had to book for breakfast giving a specific time. Sadly one day we forgot to book so was turned away . Once at breakfast, you will constantly be asking for items to be refreshed , from the fruit juices to the bread for toast. The hotel seem to restrict what is put out. There is no proactivity from any of the staff, they have to be asked to do anything rather than act on something that we can all see need's doing. The hot food served was never hot as clearly it was already prepared and just waiting to be brought out. Overall our stay was ok , in a great location but is let down by what I have described above. You pay your monies and make your choice.

This quiet town is a short drive away from Balmaha where you can take the boat trip to Luss. Amazing views on the boat and both shores are very picturesque with small independent ice-cream parlours, coffee shops and other businesses.

Everything. The owners and staff couldn’t have been better.

Everything. The owners and staff couldn’t have been better. We were made to feel more than welcome. We were invited out along with the hotel staff and the local community for a walk along the west highland way up Conic hill on New Year’s Day. What a day! We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. I couldn’t recommend staying at the Drymen Inn highly enough. The food is excellent (we didn’t even eat anywhere else as it was so good and so reasonably priced), the entertainment on New Year’s Eve was fantastic, they made my wee dog Molly so welcome and quite simply couldn’t do enough for us. We have already booked for over New Year’s Eve next year and will very likely be back before that! Stuart, Jen and their staff were excellent hosts. Overall excellent in every way!!

The lounch in the garden was nice. We did not make use of the enormous hot tub, which had to be heated about 24 hours in advance. Furthermore, the teeners liked the tv, which we had in each room. We also enjoyed a play of darts in the lounge area. And, the location, near Drymen was terrific. Mountain view on both sides, very quiet place on private property. Large kitchen and also the other rooms were large. We also liked the small shop with essentials and games.

Fantastic family run hotel. Everyone was lovely! Room was just what we needed, shortbread and water, tea/coffee in our room when we arrived. Comfy bed. Spotlessly clean. Food was superb. We had the Hogmanay set menu and it was really delicious. Value for money was outstanding and unheard of in this current cost of living crisis. Cannot wait to return! Breakfast was yummy, great quality and a decent portion. The location was very picturesque.

Fabulous girly hot tub weekend We had the best night away. Myself and 2 friends. The house has a cabin feel. So cosy and clean. Beds very comfortable. WiFi and Netflix. The hot tub in the garden was a lovely end to our night out. 5 min walk was the winnock hotel and the drymen Inn. We enjoyed our meal at the winnock and night in the drymen inn with live band. The beds were super comfortable. We can't wait to come back.

The property is modern, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. There were 2 of us staying. We were hiking the West Highland Way and we appreciated having a large double room each with modern ensuite facilities in each room. The living room and kitchen were large and well stocked. The property is located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Drymen. Highly recommend the Clachan Inn for dinner- book ahead!

Fabulous hotel, great stop off on route to the Highlands. Very friendly staff who just loved the dog (he though the attention was great!) Breakfast and dinner were great and nice touch to keep dogs on seperate tables spaced out in the bar and also at breakfast to prevent any sniffing incidents! Recommend a stay at this hotel Village also very dog friendly with well lit paths for nightime walks

Situated in a lovely village, the Hotel is clean, friendly and quiet. The room we had was next to the road but is so quiet we slept with the windows open. We both had the Scottish breakfast, this was tasty. There is a bar that sells cocktails, these are not expensive. There is a bus stop outside the hotel for those who want to venture further if you don't want to drive. Loved our stay.

The Shannon Farmhouse was a perfect place to stay in our second night in Scotland. The farmhouse provided the most incredible views and Jane was the most gracious host. She greeted us immediately and showed us around. The room was perfect for us. The shower provided the most incredible shower I’ve ever taken. Breakfast was served with beautiful views of the property.

Great communication with the owner from the onset. The cottage is located in a very quiet area though commute to the main town of Drymen is less than a 5 min drive. There is additional opportunity to access Loch Lomond park which is only 20mins drive. In all a great place to stay, clean with all needed facilities included.
