We were able to walk to eat in the town square we had two great evening meals at the Three Little Pigs. Reasonable priced well cooked food. There are other places to eat but we loved this quirky pub and the food was great so no need to find anywhere else!

This is the town and not the location of The New Inn.
This is the town and not the location of The New Inn. Crediton is a bit tired from what we could see. We did eat at a very good pub called The Three Little Pigs as it was the only place available for grandparents and an 8 year old needing a meal after a 3 hour drive.

Nice little town with lots of history and amenities, we didn't have time to fully explore as we had activities booked in the area during the days. Several pubs & restaurants to choose from.
I would avoid Exeter at busy times as the traffic is a nightmare. be prepared for narrow single track lanes if you want to go onto Dartmoor There are busses and trains to various places if you don't want to drive

The location is quiet - just what we wanted.
The location is quiet - just what we wanted. We dined al-fresco in the garden as the evening was pleasant. We enjoyed listening to the sound of nature and the many birds as they started to roost in the tall trees surrounding the gardens. Access was via country lanes mainly.
Dining experience was great with varied menu, and reasonable prices.
Very relaxing experience.

Lots of thatched roof cottages and old England imagery.
Lots of thatched roof cottages and old England imagery. Beautiful autumnal colours - refreshing country walks and friendly locals. Highly recommended. We stayed and ate at the wonderful New Inn experiencing breakfast, lunch and dinner on different days. All meals were exceptional. Don’t miss this. Gem of a place
You do not need to have any interest in motorcycles to stay here. As it happens I do so appreciate the hotel's theme, cafe, shop etc. The rooms are completely seperate and accessible through a keypad entrance so contactless check-in which can be convenient. Rooms are immaculate, a good size and spotlessly clean and good value. Crediton town centre is a 1 minute walk, there is free parking across the road. Breakfast is continental buffet but great quality and choice and superb coffee. 100% recommended.
On arrival, greeted with a warm welcome by the owners and the locals, the local cider on tap is a must try, I had a feeling when I booked it would be a special place and I wasn’t disappointed, can’t share enough how much we all enjoyed our short stay and must say the family bedroom would put many a 5star hotel to shame, breakfast was yummy and sadly that was it for us this time as had to shoot off, however we will be returning ASAP!!
This property is a beautiful farm located outside of Crediton. Angela and David are lovely people made us feel right at home as soon as we got there incredibly accommodating. Angela is a fantastic cook made a beautiful breakfast for us. Their dining room table is situated in front of a big picture window that look out onto beautiful green pastures. we got one of the best flips in Europe because the property is absolutely quiet.
I believe that I was given a room upgrade. My room was situated in an extension to the hotel and was excellent. One of the most comfortable beds I slept in on my whole tour from Lands End to John O'Groats, and an excellent breakfast to set me up for a long day's cycling.
The location is about half a mile from the centre of Crediton, on east side of town. However there is a pub and Morrisons very close. Though the bedroom was a little bit small, it was part of a spacious apartment.
Off road car parking was provided.
The location was very convenient to Crediton where my daughter lives. The accommodation is well presented and comfortable. The host is very welcoming and ensures you are looked after. Breakfast choices are excellent and freshly cooked.
The Ship Hotel is a rough diamond and is just what I needed after a long drive down to Devon. My room was clean and tidy with a really nice en suite shower room. Friendly staff and a central location with plenty of local parking.
Fab location-lovely room with great bathroom and amazing shower. Everything felt really high end but without pretentiousness. Best breakfast I've had in a hotel or B & B-was doing Lejog and it set us up for the day!
We appreciated the quiet, rural setting and the thought that had gone into making the stay interesting:- history, pond, walks and closeness to Crediton. Lovely to have fresh fruit with the breakfast.
excellent hotel… I stay in hotels most of the time through work and this is one of if not the best! quirky clean comfy with everything you need… definitely stay again if I’m in the area..
