The place was clean, with friendly helpful staff. The room was bright and comfortable and well equipped for what we needed. The breakfast was a buffet and was lovely.
This warm, friendly hotel on the River Thames has superb river views, a popular bar, great service and a new restaurant: Trevi Ristorante Italiano.

Recently refurbished pool was lovely. Warm enough even on a cold rainy day.
Nice to have an onsite restaurant with good food. Plenty of parking and really friendly staff.
Great selection of pubs and restaurants. Bel and The Dragon is superb.
Pleasant country footpaths and riverside.
Walked to Cliveden (National Trust), though it was much longer than planned (3.5 miles), due to flooded footpaths.
Geocaching took me on an interesting tour, including Stanley Spencer (artist) locations.

Cookham is a beautiful place with a small high street, that had plenty of eateries. We enjoyed a 'trio of roasts' at The Ferry, which was a short walk from the high street & on the high street itself, we had an amazing curry at The Malik.
We did a ninety minute walk along the Thames path, which took us to a lovely place called 'Marlow' The high street boasts a host of wonderful shops & bars & a lot of independents too. Definitely worth a visit

Lunch at the Bel and Dragon (almost next door) was memorable - a great place to meet friends from London. Cookham is a beautiful village with (normally) great walks along the towpath - there were some huge floods when we were there but we enjoyed the village anyway.

Cookham is a very busy village, if you plan on coming try not so busy days like Sun / Mon.
Otherwise it is a really good point for walking the Thames river etc.
There are lots of good restaurants and a gallery.
The location can't be beat - if you need to be in Cookham for any reason (work or pleasure) this is a lovely place to stay, located right in the middle of the village. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, making sure all my needs were met (from leaving luggage to arranging a taxi to the station). The restaurant was great with plenty of spacious outdoor seating. The room was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and amenities - the large soap and shampoo dispensers were particularly appreciated.
We have stayed in various accommodation in and around the Cookham area as we attend a business meeting twice a year and stay for 2 nights. The Crown has new owners and it is their 1 anniversary this year. We couldn’t fault it in anyway apart from there was no bath mat so the bath was a little slippery when taking a shower. Which is a very minor point and we are taking our own next time. The evening meals and breakfast was excellent. We have already booked for our next meeting in October.
It’s in a good location at the end of the high street for access to the river, walking, shops and restaurants of Cookham. Recently refurbished and ample parking in a village that is tight for car spaces. The bedrooms are outfitted in a little courtyard and each feels like it’s a little home for the night and not just a room. Comfy beds, good size tv
The food was absolutely delicious, well presented with flair and imagination and good quality ingredients and all the staff were superb and couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant, well spoken, smart and polite. The hotel was in an ideal location and very quaint but well appointed. We were able to park directly in front of the hotel.
The location met our needs to be near family in Maidenhead ( they suggested this property); we gathered in the Pub below for drinks on our arrival. Breakfast was very good. It was good to have a portable fan to use given the heat experienced during our stay. My husband enjoyed the complimentary whiskey as a nightcap!
Loved this hotel. The breakfast (included in the price) was amazing. Excellent choice. Nothing was to much trouble. The staff on duty so friendly. We ate in the pub on the evening and the food and prices where exceptional. To see the chef cooking the food was a delight.
The location within the lovely village of Cookham was excellent. First class, if quirky bedroom with very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good with good choice. Overall a great experience in an historic hotel which has retained many original features.
The breakfast was fantastic, generous portions & extremely good quality food. The hotel & pub itself were great, very relaxed atmosphere & a pleasure to eat & drink in. The bathroom was a good size, bigger than we'd anticipated, which was a bonus.
Breakfast was excellent, all staff really friendly and helpful, even though they were snowed under. I would rate this above the hotels in Marlow and the others in Cookham. Have booked again
Staff are really friendly, the food was good and the hotel was excellent value. We stayed prior to flying from Heathrow Airport, so the location was great.
