Location was great - a short walk across the bridge to Chepstow. The space was on the small side, but great for 2 people. The view of Chepstow castle from the back garden is awesome.

Caerleon and Caerwent these are amazing for history lovers.
The gardens and grottoes at Dewstow were a revelation we had a marvellous time there.

The castle and architecture, particularly at that end of town, is nice and the setting lovely. Tintern Abbey is a 6 mile bus ride away and well worth seeing. Unfortunately, you can't walk along the River Wye to it; the designated walk takes you well away from the river on both banks, though this is somewhat due to sheer cliffs! Not much else to see and do in the immediate area and no Sunday buses, so a better midweek break or day trip than a weekend break for non-drivers like myself.
I go for the Chepstow Wassail and Mari Lwyd event on a Saturday in January and tend to stop off elsewhere on the route home on the Sunday because there's no way to get anywhere locally.

Evening meal we had in the bar area, which we appreciated had a limited menu, three of us ordered chicken burger, which too over 30 minutes to arrive, the chicken was tough and over cooked. Taxi was extortionate costing £29.00 to go less than 3 miles - recommended by the hotel! Service is poor when the hotel is full - they do not cope well.

We didn’t go into Chepstow as we were there for the races on 24 th August. It was a perfect stay. The apartment was perfect in every way. Only needed food but the farm shop had all needs.
There wasn’t a pub but take own or buy in farm shop.
Lovely view towards the river.

Very pretty small town with lots of pubs, cafes and eating places to choose from. The beautiful castle set on the river is obviously a big attraction and Chepstow is a great base to visit many other places. Tintern Abbey is just up the road and Raglan Castle is a must see.

Chepstow is a delightful town with many interesting attractions not the best is undoubtedly Chepstow Castle. It has been fantastically well preserved and the wonder of Tintern Abby is a must for anyone staying in or near Chepstow.
Several different types of restaurants including a gem of an Italian one at the bottom of the town just below Chepstow bridge
This was one of the few places we stayed on our trip that offered breakfast. We enjoyed our stay as everything was within easy walking distance--the river, the restaurants, the castle, a grocery store and gas station, and free parking. Chepstow is also a short drive away from Tintern Abbey as well. While we didn't try the pizza, the hotel did have a stone oven pizza pub in the evening hours. We only stayed one night, but we both loved the Chepstow area.
The room was remarkable - it was so authentically historic, but comfortable, beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff were great, there was a terrific atmosphere in the bustling pub downstairs and the breakfasts were both delicious and very generous. The location between the Castle, the Museum, the River and the town centre could not be better! Really thought it was exceptional value for money and I would return, any day.
The location is great and it was bigger than expected, plenty of parking close to town centre but in a quiet location, beds were comfortable. Washing machine and dishwasher are hardly for a family stay. Sofas are comfortable and decorated nicely throughout. Even though there is wifi available the 5g signal in the area is great. all round a pleasant two night would book again if cleaning is addressed.
It has all the modern conveniences and is well designed. easy walk downhill to the castle, restaurants, shops, historic walled city area.restaurant across the parking lot looked very good but we had reservations at a lovely Italian place overlooking the river. Efficient checkin at a little booth inside the restaurant. Nice, professional staff.
Beautiful place to stay. Jamie was a friendly, attentive host, offering tips on the local area and making sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was great and the whole place was well thought out and well looked after. Loved the little touches like the fresh tulips. It really felt like a private getaway.
Location was good for my visit and it is very close to the town centre, with a public car park just across the road. For breakfast I requested a toasted bacon sandwich, which the lady willingly made for me, even though I was 20 minutes earlier than breakfast servings stArted.
What is there not to like about Riverside. Perfectly cozy with everything provided for a long weekend away. So peaceful and ideally located within short walking distance of the town centre, railway station and castle.
Cosy, friendly Inn with open fire, amazing pies on the menu each day.
Our room was very comfortable, with good facilities and powerful shower.
Well located close to town centre and castle.
Location was great - a short walk across the bridge to Chepstow. The space was on the small side, but great for 2 people. The view of Chepstow castle from the back garden is awesome.
The pub is very old, very characterful and quirky. Breakfast very good, the location was perfect for us, next to the castle and short walk to town centre. We will certainly go back.
This is a perfect location; in-between the Castle area and grocery store. Also walking distance to train station. Having a restaurant downstairs was extremely convenient too.
