DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom, hotel in Bucknall

A modern hotel in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, centrally located within the Midlands and close to Alton Towers, with excellent motorway, road links and rail links to the Northwest..

I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The room was spotlessly clean, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease. All the amenities we needed were available, and upon request, a mini refrigerator was promptly provided, which was essential for storing our baby’s milk. The staff members were a highlight of our stay—they were incredibly polite, kind, and always ready to assist with a smile. Every little request we had was taken into consideration and addressed promptly. The breakfast offered a variety of choices, with everything being warm and fresh. The quality of the food was excellent. Additionally, the restaurant and bar exceeded our expectations with their extensive menus and delicious options. Room service was also top-notch, providing many choices that catered to all our needs.

The Upper House, hotel in Bucknall

In a peaceful, rural location, this country house was originally built in 1845. Today, the house has been converted into a luxurious privately owned hotel with many beautiful original features.

I am a vegetarian and the breakfast was lovely. The evening meal was also very good but I dont always enjoy vegan food so the starter of beetroot terrine was not to my taste.

Tollgate Hotel & Leisure, hotel in Bucknall

Set in Stoke on Trent, 5.9 km from Trentham Gardens, Tollgate Hotel & Leisure offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar.

The location was convenient and attractive. Situated opposite the local cricket ground it must be very picturesque in good weather. The room was rather cool initially but we turned up the radiator and the temperature was then comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The area around the hotel is nice and quiet. Very nice to have parking right outside the door.

The bed was comfy, and the room was quiet. I was stuck in M6 traffic, and the staff was very accommodating about my late arrival. The breakfast was a good selection.

Hilton Garden Inn Stoke On Trent, hotel in Bucknall

Located in Stoke on Trent, 6.7 km from Trentham Gardens, Hilton Garden Inn Stoke On Trent provides accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Conveniently located on a ring road and close to motorways. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially in the bar and restaurant. Rooms are spacious and clean with very good facilities, including numerous USB points. The restaurant, whilst not haute cuisine, offers a reasonably priced and better than average menu. Breakfast is more than adequate.

Bucknall was fairly run down, with a lot of closed shops in the centre. There are lots of speed cameras on the roads. We went to the Intu shopping centre which was suppose to be open till 8pm but everything was closed at 6pm.

This was a great find and had a very high rating and I can see why as the rooms and house were clean and tidy and to a good standard. A very basic breakfast is provided on a self-catering basis which is expected for the price. Sadly, for me, the bottom room that we stayed in had a door that led straight into the kitchen area, without any soundproofing so we could hear any noise. I do hope that the landlord invests in noise reduction strips at the very least to ensure that people can have a good sleep or to not be disturbed in that room.
