This facility is absolutely stunning and very charming. We visited as part of our 36th wedding anniversary to get away from the big city atmosphere and we're so glad to have chosen this wonderful location as part of our European Holiday! WE WILL BE BACK!!

I was looking for a budget hotel in Exeter and found The OYO Gissons. It’s not actually in Exeter city but in a small hamlet/village called Kenn or Kennford. But it’s only about 10 mins drive from the city.
I was apprehensive about my stay because last check in was stated as 10pm and I knew I wouldn’t get there until after then. A quick call and the manager put me at ease saying he would be there to open up if I called 5mins before.
There’s a pay car park next to the hotel but once you register at the hotel desk the it’s free.
The actual hotel room is lovely. My room was on the top floor, a converted attic space. The decor and furnishings all seemed new and good quality. Bed was super comfy.
Charming typical Devon village with great pub and Landlord.
Charming typical Devon village with great pub and Landlord. Roads are small and parking can be difficult but always available somewhere in the village. Being elevated has extensive views of rolling Dartmoor countryside. Only negative is the village shop and Post Office closed sometime ago so there are no petrol or food shops in the village.
