Clean, cheap and easy to get to. We just needed a place to sleep whilst attending a local event and this was perfect. Didn’t spend much time anywhere else in the hotel.
Despite our room being located right near the loud bar, the room was very well soundproofed and we were easily able to fall asleep with just a bit of background noise.
In the heart of the National Forest, The Post House is a 30-minute drive from historic Leicester. A 4-star family-run guest house, it has a pretty garden and individually styled rooms with free Wi-Fi....

Owners were lovely. Gave us recommendations for local restaurants.
Room was more comfortable and larger than one we had two nights before in London - which had cost more than double this per night.
Set in Ashby de la Zouch, The Former New Inn is a recently renovated accommodation, 30 km from Belgrave Road and 30 km from Drayton Manor Theme Park.

Convenient location, heigh standards of cleanliness and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay . The size of the property met my needs as I wasn’t there in the day .
Outstanding evening meal and breakfast! Very friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble for them and everything was always done with a smile! The rooms were very clean and up to standard! Very Spacious! The beds are super comfortable also.

I requested a ground floor room as my wife walks with the aid of crutches and was given a brand new disabled room with personal parking. Had to change date of stay but had no internet at holiday cottage to contact Booking.com, no problem to your staff.
Extremely impressed.
Thank you.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderfully clean room and excellent food options in the restaurant.
We used the hotel as it was only ten minutes away for an event at Statfold Barn Railway the next day.
Easy to get to as not far from the M42 and also very close to Twycross Zoo!
Would thoroughly recommend this location and would definitely stay again!

Appleby Magna is the perfect place to stay, so close to so many attractions. The hotel is easy to find, staff are very friendly, rooms very clean, bed very comfy. Food portion size big and very very tasty. Have recommended to family and friends, will certainly stay here again.

It was the closest accommodation we could find for a festival weekend. We did not do anything other than sleep and eat breakfast at Appleby Magna itself but the environment looked quaint and not far from historic places of interest.

Not impressed.
Not impressed. Isn't hard to keep it looking good and clean if you have cleaners. Honestly won't be going back.
Pillows like concrete and the mattress way too hard
Dirty in many places
We wasn't sure about ordering breakfast but in the morning we clearly saw a few breakfast plates with all the best bits left. .shame as its in a very good spot and could be so much better without much effort.
This small hotel/restaurant is a little gem , just 1 mile off the A42 at A444 junction. With friendly , courteous Staff . I had a spacious , immaculately clean room with a shower cubicle which is large enough to move around in and a very comfortable bed.
The restaurant is very popular serving a varied menu of freshly cooked food in generous portions at prices which are more favourable than those found in tourist hot spots. I do not hesitate in recommeding it.
Location excellent for main routes but far enough to ensure peace and quiet. Staff very helpful and breakfast excellent. Staff well trained, new what they were doing and very welcoming and friendly. Room exceeded my expections, large, bright, well laid out and exceptional clean and views of surrounding countryside. Stay was all too brief but would use this hotel again when in this area.
Room was large, clean and comfortable. Parking was very close to room. Food was fantastic. The dining staff helped me put together a birthday party for my husband - even driving to the store to pick up cakes. They were fantastic. 2nd time we stayed at the Appleby and it will be our only destination hotel anytime we visit my husband’s home!
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, the food quality was very high and the size of the rooms were surprisingly very big. For the price of the booking I was expecting the size of a small chain hotel room. Instead we had very large rooms which were more suite sized than room sized. We have already booked our return stay for next year.
The receptionist/ barman was very kind in the evening when we arrived, also the restaurant staff, but the lady in the morning by our check out was really bearish. Over all the hotel was clean, with coffee and tea in the rooms, kettle, average rooms with beautiful bathrooms.
beautiful and tasty breakfast.
Breakfast - Good selection of foods both cooked and cold, table service.
Dinner - Excellent choice of hot and cold foods well served in pleasant surroundings. Recommend booking as does get busy.
Room - Clean, well decorated and all facilities provided. Loads of free parking, off road.
The location for our visit ideal. The staff were friendly (although when complained in the restaurant they were not happy) but reception staff and breakfast staff very helpful.the rooms were large. Breakfast on the second day tasty. Dinner in the restaurant very good value for money.
the room was clean and tidy. we ate in the hotel both nights of our stay and the food was good, the staff were friendly and helpful. breakfast was served at your table, bit of a pain having to ask for more tea or juice, would have preferred to help ourselves to these,.
Fabulous room (30) especially for those with walking issues with a designated parking space straight outside the door.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel twice. All meals were substantial and tasty.
Breakfast was fine with a reasonable choice. The room was larger than most in budget type hotels. Parking was plentiful and the location suited our needs.
