The position was perfect to visit the " route des vins", close enough to the typical villages in our to-do list.
When you arrive at the castle, the outside is astonishing.
Set within a vineyard between Colmar and Mulhouse, at the foot of the Markstein ski slopes, Hotel du Lac is situated in the Domaine du Lac, which also includes Hotel les Rives.

Wonderful hotel offering old-world elegance galore! We loved the beautiful building and furnishings with our own private terrace that overlooked the garden. Very comfortable bed. Superb breakfast. Plenty of convenient parking. Quite a distance to town for restaurants for dinner but all flat easy walking. The host kindly booked us a table at a restaurant on our arrival. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The menu in the evening was nice, but the wine a little expensive 18€ per glass. Staff were very friendly and vey helpful.

La Roseraie Biebler is surrounded by a garden with trees and flowers and offers elegant en suite rooms. Guest rooms are spacious and modern and include free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and air conditioning.
It's kind of apart-hotel with 5 fully equipped flats. We stayed in flat 84m2 for 10 days and we did enjoy it.
All the rooms are big, well furnished, with a lot of storage space.
The swimming pool, the sauna, the air-conditioning were very much enjoyed by our family
