The property had a nice inner garden. The host was a nice person she gave us directions to restaurants.
The bed was comfortable. We did not have breakfast as we were leaving early. We thought payment would automatically go through of our bank card - we handed in keys , luckily someone was there and came running after us to say payment hadn’t been made, I of course went back paid by card and checked no other payment was made.

Home to Dukes of Burgundy for 4 centuries, Dijon is a magnificent combination of colour and culture. Set on a large square with fountains, the Ducal Palace houses a fabulous fine art museum. You can climb Philippe Le Bon tower here for wonderful views of the multi-coloured tiles typical of the city’s roofs.
Equally as vibrant are the half-timbered facades in the Old Town. The best examples are in cobbled Place François Rude, where relaxed bars and cafes offer good people watching.
On a grander scale is Place Darcy whose Porte Guillaume arch faces a shady park. Dijon’s many green spaces include huge Parc de la Colombière whose central path was considered by Louis XIV the most beautiful in his kingdom. Another popular walk is along Promenade de l'Ouche starting near the hospital and ending at large Kir Lake where you can swim.
This is an evidently wealthy city, so there are plenty of places to shop, but a must-see is Les Halles market, designed by Gustav Eiffel, architect of the tower.
Don’t check out of your Dijon hotel, apartment or B&B without touching the owl on the side of Notre Dame church – use your left hand for good luck. Dijon Airport is a domestic airport, but the city is easily reached by car and train.

I'm really surprised that I haven't heard more about Dijon - it's a beautiful place to visit. The old town is crammed full of exceptionally well preserved buildings around every corner, which stop you in your tracks. The proximity of the cathedral to the surrounding medieval buildings is surreal!
Then there's the grand plaza's and marbled facades. Just walk and soak it all up. Better still, download the app and follow the owl walking tour which ensures you don't miss a thing.
There's a lovely evening atmosphere as everyone appeared to be outside enjoying a meal or drink - no matter what day of the week! It's simply friendly and relaxed - particularly around the Les Halles market area. We had great meals and weren't charged a fortune for them either.
Dijon just might be my favourite French city!

Great shopping and dining experiences in Dijon.
Great shopping and dining experiences in Dijon. Fantastic walkable city center for shopping and exploring the historic and cultural sites. The food scene is amazing with tons of amazing and creative restaurants, local options and you have to check out the big indoor market. Great options in the surrounding area for short day trips.

Loved the place.
Loved the place. First time we’ve visited and enjoyed walking round - there are free shuttle buses to take you to places in the city but much of it is pedestrianised. Good shops and restaurants and bars. Art galleries and museums. Need to check opening timing. We found people to be friendly and very helpful to us. Would revisit. Also good to visit is Beaune - a town just down the road.

We only stayed overnight. The area near Les Halles had several restaurants in different price ranges.
For guests at the Hotel Wilson, set the GPS for Place du President Wilson, not for rue de Longvic, the address of the hotel - it starts a long way out in Longvic!

Dijon is a lovely old town with layers of history and architectural styles. Numerous secret courtyards to discover accidentally. It boasts delicious restaurants from traditional French to Japanese-influenced flavors and presentation. Numerous lovely cafes and boutiques. Museum of Burgundy life was weirdly cool. Musee des Beaux Arts was mostly focused on religious to renaissance painting and a wonderful Pissaro landscape. Ended with a strong exhibituon of a contemporary female French sculptor and her partner.

A beautiful city and well worth a visit.
A beautiful city and well worth a visit. It has two cathedrals and both are most attractive inside. The main street " rue de la Liberte" is pedestrianised but be careful of the scooters and bikes which roar past you. Plenty of shops but brasseries, cafes and restaurants are not always obviously located. Choose wisely and the food and price will be excellent.
The museums are all worthwhile a visit and most are free unless there is a special exhibition.
Tourist map is fairly useless
This Holiday Inn in Longvic just south of Dijon was brand new when we stayed there in our way back from our road trip to Italy. It’s in a great location for access to the major link roads, and has Tesla Superchargers just a few minutes away. The hotel is modern, very well appointed and spotlessly clean, and they have clearly taken a lot of care with choosing the staff who were all excellent. Dinner & breakfast were delicious, and the nightly rate was very competitive. We’d have no hesitation at all in recommending this hotel
Great place for a longer stay. Large rooms with fridge, kettle etc. Better than a usual 3 star hotel that you find in France. Clean, practical, lodern, functional, pefect..there is even a small gym (which I didn't use). Have booked again.....Could be practical if you are travelling by car as there is parking. Short walk from train station. Short walk (10-15 mins) to historical city center. PS Note that you are obliged to clean kitchen unit or you will be charged plus extra charge for housekeeping, if required.
Very clean and comfortable bed and pillows. The rooms we had are sound proof. Therefore, good quality of sleep. Big shower for these type of ibis budget hotels. Very good value for money.
It's's location is convenient for long distance drivers as it is easy to find. Easy check in and check out convenient for tired drivers. Big and safe parking place.
Booked twice for this trip. Will book again when driving to the south of France.
The location was very convenient to both the train station (5 minute walk) and the center of Dijon (5 minute walk). The contemporary hotel lobby is very attractive and welcoming. Our room was nicely appointed and classy and average in size for a french hotel. The full 20 euro breakfast is a full breakfast with eggs, cheeses, meats, yogurt, fruit, pastries, and beverages. It was very ample.
This is a 2* hotel but it is very clean and well positioned in Dijon for walking into the city centre. There is parking on site which is tight but the staff are very helpful in fitting everyone it and helping one to leave in the morning. We had come from an apartment in Rheims without AC or fans so the cool and refreshing AC at Hotel Thurot was extremely welcome.
The room was extremely comfortable and quiet. The person on reception was very welcoming and friendly, offering some good advice on local eateries with hotel discount. This was the final night of my two weeks in France and overall it was a very relaxing way to finish. The walk to the city was long but very nice, and such a beautiful place.
Such a brilliant location in the very heart of Dijon yet so very quiet. Truly individual hotel, old-fashioned in spirit, you really feel you are in France, not in some anonymous chain. A modest hotel, slightly run-down but immaculately clean, with some surviving details such as wooden stairs and brass stair-rail.
It was a very comfortable hotel, with free safe parking. New and clean. Perfect for one night, when you're traveling. If you've bikes you can cycle into Dijon. The beds were comfy and there was a good breakfast. There is a bar with small sitting area. Very helpful staff. Restaurants are nearby.
it was a stop over on a long drive through france so it was very easy and very good value and didn’t detour off route barely at all. possibly less good if you actually want to go to Dijon but the value for money and the ease of parking and relative quietness of the hotel is great.
Convenient location close to the train station and at walking distance from the lively heart of Dijon, with free private parking. Good breakfast buffet with variety and quality. Clean and quiet rooms. Courteous staff. Good value for money with all you may expect from a Ibis hotel.
A welcoming hotel near to the centre of Dijon with parking. Nice room. TV with Chromecast. Slept with the window open and no noise from the station beyond normal city sounds. Great breakfast. Easy walk into the city. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Feeling like home in the center of Dijon. Near to the tourist place & near to the train and bus station.
All you need is here, just your staff and come.
Appreciated Tom for his help and always connected.
Last year we picked this hotel also, because it is good for one night as a pitstop on our way to our holiday destination.
This summer we're going to southern France again, so we probably stay here again.
New aparthotel, well located with secure parking
Spacious room with very comfortable bed, extra pillows
Basic kitchenette, plenty of storage, good lighting
Attractive hallways
Noon checkout
The location is right at the beginning of Christmas market, it's the best one. The rooms are different decoration even you booked the same caregory. Breakfast was the greatest one in France.
The hotel is close to the highway and seems to serve as a pitstop for tourists passing through Dijon. One advantage of the hotel is its proximity to Tesla Superchargers & Ionity.
The property owner is very nice and accommodating, the apartment is brand new, it’s a very short walk to the historical part of Dijon and we generally felt quite safe!
