Walking along main road not the easiest as footpath kept changing sides, however traffic was rarely heaving and limited to 50k/h so not really dangerous. Not a great deal to do appart from very enjoyable walks through hills and an excellent selection of restaurants in the evening.

We used the location as a base to explore the north of the island and didn't venture much within the town.
While we had a car, the regular hourly bus - in both directions - seemed very reliable.
There are many eating options although we only visited one which was wonderful. (Bar La Plaza - a huge thumbs up).

If you want peace and relaxation away from the usual tourist...
If you want peace and relaxation away from the usual tourist areas, but still want good restaurants close by, then Villaverde is perfect. Easy to get to from the airport, and close to the large town of Corralejo for shopping - although Villaverde has a couple of small supermarkets too.

Great effortful hosts, friendly and always helpful. Nothing to complain about, we really enjoyed our time in Villaverde. The kids loved the pool and the patio icluding the view of the volcano. The size of the apartment was ideal for all of us and with the kitchen you are completely independent (SuperDino in Villaverde).
Parking space for a big car was always available directly at the apartment.

Lovely villa in a great location. Very good Correspondence and advice from owner. Villa is on a new small complex just outside Villaverde within 10 minutes drive of both Corallejo and Lajares. Taxis available if required. 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms ,all clean and tidy. Well equipped kitchen. Pool was cleaned during the week. Washing machine was handy.
Bed was super confortable and the room is pretty easy to keep cold when it’s hot out with airflow and a bit of help of wind so we slept very well there for four nights. The terrace in front is well equipped and nice to enjoy a bit of sun. We enjoyed to be in city Villaverde to explore the North of the island. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t need a kitchen
Sarah is an excellent host. And her casita is an ideal place to stay. Very spacious for two. We loved it and recommend it enthusiastically. The bed is supremely comfortable. The view is magnificent, with much of Lanzarote visible on a clear day. The quiet and privacy are delicious. And the furnishings are new. Everything we needed was at hand. thank you, Sarah!
Amazing old volcanic stone buildings make beautiful bedrooms in this fantastic hotel/restaurant. Rural location so we opted for half board and glad we did. The restaurant was just as gorgeous looking as the rooms and the food was fantastic. Beautiful garden area with covered pool and the staff were all great. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Villa Ayala was immaculate, well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the pool, garden and outdoor space. Plenty of seating options and the beds were very comfortable. Great location with a short drive to beaches and towns with plenty of restaurants and cafes. We walked 20 minutes to a lovely bakery in Villaverde.
Traditional, rustic Canarian property, with lots of outdoor space to enjoy with our dog. Villaverde is a small village, but has multiple top quality eateries, arguably the best collection in Fuerteventura. This property is home to one of them, the Restaurante Mahoh, which serves top quality local food.
Such a stunning Villa, everything we needed, lovely outside area with pool, very clean and comfortable beds.
The best part for us was Lara, so friendly and helpful and bought us pastries for one of our Birthdays. Very quite, 5 minutes drive into Villaverde with two top class restaurants.
It’s a recently renovated rural hotel which feels like you are in a western film. Nice, spacious room & bathroom. The hotel also offers a private parking. Very convenient location, 15 mins from Corralejo, 30 mins from the airport & port.
It was wonderful to return. The food was fabulous and the accommodation very comfortable. Great little hotel and restaurant for a break! Really enjoyed ourselves and hope to return soon.
