Capital of La Rioja independent community, Logroño is all about the delicious red wine cultivated in surrounding vineyards. Visiting a bodega (or two) demonstrates the care that goes into winemaking: the Franco-Españolas wine cellar is in a historic building with hundreds of barrels in underground cellars, while Juan Alcorta and Darien outside the city offer tastings in more modern structures.
You can also sample a glass of Rioja in the city’s many tapas restaurants and pavement cafés. Calle Portales is the main street and Calle Mayor also has several bars offering good nightlife.
Logroño is on the Way of St James and Santiago El Real church is a favoured stop for pilgrims. Its tower, together with the twin spires of the Co-Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Redonda, become beautifully reflected beside colourful waterfront houses in the peaceful River Ebro flowing under a stone bridge.
The covered bullring and the conference centre are north-east of the bridge, and a shady park is to the west. The Murallas del Revellín are 15th-century fortification remains, overlooked by the La Rioja Parliament building and near La Rioja Museum, detailing the region’s history.
Logroño train station is on the city outskirts and Booking.com offers guest houses nearby, as well as cheap apartments and boutique hotels near Logroño-Agoncillo Airport.

The town is placed in a very beautiful region and very close to one of the best medieval towns in Spain: Laguardia.
Totally recommended.

Loved strolling around the old monuments, the churches, the open spaces with wonderful shops, restaurants and great food. People are friendly and you feel safe being out even at night. Also loved walking along the Ebro river and birdwatching with a friend, learning a bit more about the Camino a Santiago de Compostela route and the amazing landscape outside the city.

Don't be fooled.
Don't be fooled. Many of the photographs of Logrono make it seem unattractive and perhaps a bit urban. The reality is that it has a GREAT nightlife and is a really fun place to go. "Eat, drink and be merry" ought to be the motto for this town, the pincho district is very lively and it is all too easy to empty your pockets paying for food and drink at the many tapas bars in the Calle Laurel area.
Very pleasantly surprised, the whole family loves Logrono now!

My husband wanted to visit the Rioja region as it is his favourite wine. We visited the Campo Viejo vineyard fairly close to our hotel which was very interesting and he bought several bottles. The staff at the vineyard were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It was an excellent day. We weren't able to take the tour but our visit was enough.
Logrono town was interesting, with lots of bars and restaurants. Tapas etc. It was very clean and there was very little traffic.

Amazing city!! Perfect for foodies and wine lovers!
Amazing city!! Perfect for foodies and wine lovers! Easy to get around by foot and by bus, tge people are very friendly, not too touristy (at least in mid- February hahaha!) Probably out favourite discovery in all of Spain 😍
The hotel is beautifully decorated, utilizing the old stone steps and ceilings vigas (wood beams) while also modernizing the lobby and rooms with lovely furnishings and a great rain shower faucet in the bathroom. The room was spacious, kept clean and the staff was very helpful with suggestions for visiting Logrono, which we loved! The parking option was very near and convenient. We appreciated the discount.
Big and sunny apartment with two rooms and all the the necessary for our stage. We appreciate the detail of the coffee capsules and the bottle of drink water for courtesy. Very well situated in the center of Logroño city and in the clouse of the Laurel street. Don't waist the opportunity to go at "Casa Grande Laurel" bar and taste the good "torreznos", meals and wine.
We are hiking the Camino, DeSantiago, and we spent two nights in Logroño. This is an excellent location. Our visit coincided with a large wine festival that attracts people from all over the region so I believe our pricing was higher than usual, but a very great bargain, considering the festivities going on. Very clean and great staff.
Great hotel in the middle of Logrono, set in the old town close to all its bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As we were staying a few nights we booked a suite, which was fantastic. Loads of room and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast with a good selection of cold meats pastries and eggs if you wished.
It was nice to stay at Zenit in a bit of luxury while walking the Camino. Whilst it was a little bit out of Logrono you were away from the main centre.
The staff were fantastic both at reception and in the cafe.
The ladies from the cafe went out of their way to make sure I had something to eat before the 4pm closing.
Excellent staff, went out off there way to make us feel welcome and very helpful, we don't speak Spanish and they helped us with taxis and other things.
Location was fantastic for eating and shopping in Logrono and just a 10 min taxi from Logrono airport and 20 mins from Navara Race Circuit.
Everything was great: super nice staff, parking on the premises really practical and convenient, lovely details for our small dog (a dog bed and bowls for her). Really happy with this hotel, if we ever come back to Logroño, we'll stay here for sure.
Spacious and clean room with all amenities, comfortable bed, good and big bathroom. About 10 minutes walking to the city center and tapas bar streets. Not far away from The Camino. Reasonable price for this hotel category in Logroño.
exceptional breakfast, worth the 9 euros, great location, easy walk into old town & tapas bars, very friendly & helpful staff (they lent us an umbrella), very classy hotel, especially for the price.
Fantastic location right in calle Portales with walkable distance to every site in Logroño and right by the old town tapas area in calle Laurel, Albornoz, Agustín… Very nice and clean property.
Excellent location...easy to find and access. Lovely and clean and extremely comfortable beds. I'd definitely stay again if returning to Logroño. Very well equipped if you wanted to self cater.
The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Logroño.
