Loved the vibe: clean, modern hotel that was very manageable; not a big "mega" American-style chain hotel. We stayed at Mar de Viñas twice it was so good. I'd initially picked the place as it looked ideal for a stopover on our way from Santander to Valencia. It looked beautiful and importantly was dog friendly, as we were travelling with 2. The place could not have been more ideal. The hosts were very welcoming and very kindly rustled us up a delicious vegan meal, at short notice, plus delicious vegan pastries for breakfast. Thank you! The views from the hotel over the vineyards are to die for. Our stay was so pleasant we also booked to stay on the way back on our return journey and 2nd time was just as perfect. Recommend!

Lovely quaint town that instantly brought a sense of calmness, we couldn’t help but feel relaxed.
The cafes and restaurants all had a great selection of pinxtos and we had a fantastic dinner in Asador los Nietos on one evening.
Briones is a good place to base yourself to tour the wineries but there are also plenty of bodegas in the town, we happened to arrive when a festival was taking place and visited 5 bodegas each with their own tasting seminar. There was live music in the square that evening also and a great buzz about the place. The locals were all friendly and welcoming despite our Spanish not being very good!
From the moment we arrived we were treated like VIP’s. That continued until we (reluctantly) left. Being at a super modern hotel in a medieval setting was an absolutely unique experience for us. The dinner was sensational and the buffet breakfast was good as well. Will recommend your hotel to all of our friends and family. Have already praised you on Facebook. Thanks for making our too brief stay so memorable.
Everything was perfect and charming! This was exactly what we were looking for! A family run hotel with special attention given to all the guests. Treated like family! Spotless and comfortable. Loved staying in Briones…able to visit other areas but come back to a relaxing and quiet environment! Easy to find with a great restaurant across the street. This is one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The hotel is so beautiful and considered. The staff are lovely, professional, warm and helpful. The spaces throughout the hotel are gorgeous. The breakfast (and coffee!) was great. And this is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. My friend and I would unreservedly recommend this hotel in the heart of La Rioja.
We really liked this pension, as it is close to the city center and has this beautiful spanish look. The room was big, with a nice view to a garden and well equiped bathroom. The landlady was very helpful, an early check in was no problem. The breakfast is very huge and versatile. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Briones.

Loved this hotel. Staff was super friendly. Rooms were huge with great service. Restaurant was Michelin rated but very reasonably priced. We opted for a wine tasting in the cellar and Christian was wonderful-- very well versed in the local vineyards.
The room was excellent with very plush bathroom. Nightly turn down service was a nice feature. The food at this hotel is outstanding! The staff is very professional and genuinely helpful. The tasting menu in the restaurant was Michelin quality.
