It was a perfect getaway spot to unwind. Our room in the ancient medieval tower was both charming and peaceful. It also held commanding views of the surrounding countryside. Our hosts, Jon and Iban, were attentive to our every comfort. They shared their love of history in this region and left no question unanswered. The wonderful and delicious meals they prepared for us daily were always natural and from the local area. We will have many treasured memories from our time here. We cannot imagine a better getaway (or home away from home) anywhere.

I always enjoy staying at Leyre Monastery. Breakfast was good although evening meal not quite to taste this time. Beautiful views from the ancient stone building out over the lake. A very good room.
