The best place I've ever stayed in the mountains, I arrived late as I got a little lost on my bike. The owner made me spaghetti bolognese after the kitchen had closed, I am really thankful for that after a hard day on the bike.
The situation and setting of the place is incredible. Straight away you can walk up the mountains, bike or just relax. I wish I'd stayed there for longer.
I actually had the dormitory to myself and he still made me breaking at 7-30 just me in the restaurant. Proper mountain breakfast and then a walk up to almost 3000m!

The Adaastra Boutique Hotel offers a curious blend of futuristic check-in processes and traditional comfort. First things first: the automated check-in process needs a spotlight warning when you book. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a bit of modern efficiency, but after a long journey, the last thing you want is to wrestle with a temperamental machine. You’re expected to input your reservation number, personal details, and then hope the machine graciously decides to issue your room card. My own battle with this digital beast ate up 30 painstaking minutes - far from a warm welcome.
Despite the rocky start, the hotel does redeem itself once you step past the lobby. The interior of the elevator and the room itself present a stark contrast to the frustrating tech. I was genuinely impressed by the meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful color palette that greeted me—this isn’t your run-of-the-mill, cookie-cutter hotel room but a sanctuary of high quality and taste.
I appreciated the exceptional quality beer from a private brewery in the area available in the room - an interesting regional feature.

The grouppenhaus lived up to all my expectations. Great views, comfy beds good restaurant with views next door. Last lift up 7.15. Met by 4 wheel drive hafflinger to accommodation. I would highly recommend for dormatry Acomodation

Incredible scenery but very limited amenities/shops etc. in the village, so make sure you pick up groceries in Brig before taking the cable car up. Highly recommend the walk up to the summit of the Folluhorn/Fullhorn, and walking along to the Bortelhutte is beautiful too. Make the most of any good weather as it is pretty variable.
