We liked the historical aspect. However, we thought the " organic" was being taken a little to seriously. We're all in favors of choices, and didn't like having this view pushed so hard on us almost every where we went in town.

Nelson has great character.
Nelson has great character. Beautiful buildings, excellent restaurants and an amazing setting on. kootenay Lake. The only issue we had was parking was difficult to find but then, it was Valentine’s Day so maybe it’s not always so bad.

It is beautifully situated and the setting is picturesque. However the town is not pretty with too many ugly buildings of an industrial nature near the shoreline.

Stunning little city with independent shops and eateries all within a couple of blocks. The river walk to the park and beach was lovely. Even the scenery from the car journey to get to Nelson was fabulous!

Nelson is a great place to get some exercise by just walking everywhere up and down the hills to get a view of the town and surrounding area from Gyro Park, or hike up to Pulpit Rock,

The hotel was in a perfect location for exploring Nelson. There are many restaurants nearby and we were planning to have a drink in the Library Bar before looking for someplace to eat. We loved the atmosphere in the Library (with music playing), and it was hot outside so we decided to stay right there for dinner. Loved it! Also, we were lucky to arrive at a time when there was a parking space available next door and we were given a complimentary pass.
The location is perfect. It's right beside the Best Western at the foot of Baker St. Wonderful large kitchen with all the cooking supplies you need. The shared bathrooms were clean with easy access. They have the best toilet paper! The large rooms and kitchen are downstairs with more rooms upstairs, with reception and large sitting area on main floor. Loved the atmosphere and will be returning again and again. Don't forget your slippers.
My stay at this hotel was fantastic. Rooms were exactly what I needed. Simple, functional and clean. The owner was a joy to interact with. Super friendly and personable. She even let my mountain bike sleep safely in the room with me and not out in the cold. I liked being just out of town out of the business of Nelson. It was a perfect base camp for my little getaway.
The location of the resort is excellent and the staff were very helpful and accommodated our changes readily despite being short staffed. The rooms are very comfortable and the restaurant has lovely lake views and friendly service. We shortened our stay due to smoke but obviously the hotel could do nothing about the fires.
My husband & I road our motor bikes from Fort McMurray Alberta to Nelson BC. The Hotels location was perfect for as to park the bikes & stroll Baker street. Excellent day of exploring brew pubs & restaurants plus the locally owned stores.
Funky little town with exceptional customer services everywhere we went.
Seriously awesome location. Great sports bar downstairs...AMAZING restaurant connected.. Steakhouse is cost expected for the excellent quality of the food.. Location is epic for being able to enjoy the center of town. Parking can be tricky, but the staff in all areas of the hotel are friendly and helpful.
Mistiso's Place is a beautiful, comfortable lodging that made us feel at home the moment we opened the door. Everything we needed for our stay was available in the well- equipped, clean apartment. This very unique spot is in the heart of Nelson with free parking in a town with little available parking.
We were greeted with kindness, the no frills room was the absolute cleanest that I've ever stayed in! No smell of scented cleaners just actually CLEAN!
very comfortable. This hotel is immaculately maintained, it's easy to see that great pride is taken to offer guests a comfortable stay.
Great location! Just one street behind Baker Street, the main dining/shopping street. Walking distance to everything we needed. The suite was very spacious, well appointed and comfortable, The guesthouse is very pet friendly and the neighbourhood was great for walking the dog.
Excellent location
Down the street from the Hume Hotel
Cosy apartment on the top floor with slanted ceilings
Good heating and cooling
Perfect for a winter get away
I loved the explanation of the name "Mistisos"
Perfect location with views of the lake and access to a beach. Nelson is a short drive away. The suites are comfortable with small kitchens. We’ve stayed here several times and it’s always been wonderful.
The location is convenient, and the hostel has good kitchen and all the necessary amenities. The staff are great. This hostel is the most affordable place not only in Nelson, but in the whole area.
The room was spotlessly clean and nicely renovated. Great view of the river. Close to the mall grocery store and places to eat in Nelson. Very nice staff at the front desk.
Great location, everything in walking distance. Professional, personal service. High standard of cleanliness in room and throughout the hotel. Extremely comfortable beds.
Great Location on the river. Common areas are nicely decorated. Pet friendly with direct access from our room onto the grass. Two nice restaurants on site.
