Well maintained heritage property. Very clean, quiet, and easy walking distance to downtown. Appreciated the private parking at the back as we had our canoe strapped to the top of the car and didn’t want to leave it on the street.

My room was above the pub and was still really quiet. Bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was really large. We had way more room than some of the suites I have rented at other facilities.

Nelson has great character. Beautiful buildings, excellent restaurants and an amazing setting on. kootenay Lake. The only issue we had was parking was difficult to find but then, it was Valentine’s Day so maybe it’s not always so bad.

Nelson has many well preserved buildings from the mid 1800s

It is beautifully situated and the setting is picturesque. However the town is not pretty with too many ugly buildings of an industrial nature near the shoreline.

Stunning little city with independent shops and eateries all within a couple of blocks. The river walk to the park and beach was lovely. Even the scenery from the car journey to get to Nelson was fabulous!

Nice little town.
Nice little town. Historic downtown with shops and restaurants, some of them open till late at night. Beautiful beaches close by. Taghum Beach, Six mile beach (with white sand -careful do not go and swim on the tip of the beach!), Kokanee Creek Provincial Park Beach are the most beautiful.
Nelson is a lovely town, with plenty to see and do. The property was very close to the town, but not disrupted by the noise or people visiting. Having off street parking was vital, as we saw very strict parking enforcement officers in action. There was plenty of space in our rooms, with a very well equipped kitchen area; everything we needed was there.
Location was walking distance (if you’re in decent shape) to the Baker st. with all the shops and restaurants you could want. The room was well equipped to cook a meal, just enough space for 2, with two windows on either side to let air flow. Clean and safe. Small bbq area accessible to hotels guests that we didn’t use but would be very useful.
Mistiso's Place is a beautiful, comfortable lodging that made us feel at home the moment we opened the door. Everything we needed for our stay was available in the well- equipped, clean apartment. This very unique spot is in the heart of Nelson with free parking in a town with little available parking.
The Hume is a cornerstone of Nelson and has bags of character to make you feel part of a special place. There is something for everyone at this hotel which was highlighted by a very good meal on a Monday evening accompanied by a talented jazz duo. The place buzzed.
The space was clean and very well equipped. Maria was great, lots of information about what to do and places to hike etc. The loft was a very comfortable as the bed was less soft than the main floor bed. Great views of Nelson and the mountains around.
It was nice not having to worry about room service arriving every day, except the day we chose for it to happen. The food vouchers for the sister hotel at Lakeside were a wonderful encouragement to eat there, which otherwise would not have happened
The Made to Order breakfast was one of the best we have ever had included in all of our hotel stays! The staff also helped us with a voucher for parking because we could not find a place on the streets to park close to the Hume Hotel.
A very modern and stylish hotel in a great location close to restaurants and shopping in Nelson. The room was large and clean and the beds were comfortable. There was not a lot of noise from other rooms or outside.
Mae Mae was so friendly! She made sure we had what we needed and answered any questions we had. So helpful when changing my reservation to be pet friendly at last minute. Beautiful view too!
The staff were genuinely kind and helpful, always had smiles even when their job was difficult due to the extensive hotel renovations currently taking place.
We loved the view of the lake.
Loved everything about Cloudside, charming, comfortable hotel in an old (but updated) home, perfect location, wonderful owner/staff. We’d definitely stay again.
