This is a wonderful hotel and the staff is lovely and polite. The location is straight on the lake and the rooms offer scenic views. The private beach at the hotel is beautiful and the pool/sauna facilities are a nice extra. The breakfast has a great selection and the dinner room is amazing, literally on the lake. The location was amazing - like a fairly tale! Charming church bells. Music in the square. Restaurants a plenty right outside the door. Parking was helpful. We loved the room's querkiness. We loved meeting the owners doggies!

We stayed for 5 nights and everything was just great. You will have all the amenities you want. Location is really great and view from the apartment is wonderful. Salzburg is just 25 mins drive from here and Hallstatt just 1 hour. The owners of the house is so warm and friendly, he gave eggs from his farm after our arrival. And also kept welcome drinks for us. The house is very beautiful. We feel like home. And the owner has a pizzaria within 300 meters of the house, the pizzas were great too.
Wow this wonderful pension in the center of Faistenau was such a great experience - They even have weizen beer I believe as a draft but regardless its superb. The location is not on a main thoroughfare so it is a hidden jem with lots of things to do nearby - rivers lakes, hiking and bike riding and skiing in winter - This place has everything! There is a resturant in Hintersee that is also worth a visit - everything here is family run and in this world - you cannot beat this!
An amazing homestay with caring and welcoming hosts. We got an amazing appartment with a fully equipped kitchen, seating in the garden full of roses and a comfortable bed. Everything was clean and tidy. The location must be great for cycling. The closest lake (Hintersee) is approx. 5 km from the appartment. Othwerwise Faistenau has a bigger supermarket, bakery and a few restaurants.

Most of all, Alois (the owner) is a super host. He guided us very nicely about where to go and what to see. Breakfast was very nicely appointed and sufficient for us. The pension has an electric charging point for the car, which was very convenient. Definitely recommended.
Perfect breakfast before setting out for cross country skiing. More than enough food - and good quality. Clean, quiet and functional rooms, with good internet, and comfortable beds. Great location in Faistenau - walkable to cross country skiing, ski rental shop, restaurants, and bus stop nearby. Forty minute bus ride from Salzburg - bus 155.
The hosts are wonderful people. The lady in the evening was very friendly. The guy in the morning at breakfast was so kind and friendly as well. The guesthouse is pretty standard: warm, comfortable, lived-in--very different from your corporate hotel chain experience. The area is beautiful as well.

In summer they have a swimming pool and playground with the mounting view. The food is great and not expensive. We will be absolutly back to this place! Feels so good!
