Chalet Villas Geres is a lovely oasis near the Peneda Geres National Park. It is within any easy walk to the charming town of Geres and near the hiking trails of Peneday Geres. The pool is clean and absolutey beautiful, tucked under a huge Palm tree with the river nearby. Our villa was quiet and private. The hosts, Susana and Tomas were a delight, went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

This tiny, quiet village was the perfect stay for hiking and relaxing. We were able to do some laundry, make a meal, and relax on the terrace. We hiked all day the next day including a wonderful waterfall and swimming hole.
This is a tiny idyllic fairytale village. It's just gorgeous with stone houses and a stream running through the village. Each of the houses has been beautifully restored. They are exceptionally comfortable and fully self-contained with a kitchen. It is immaculately clean with a good shower. There is parking in the village and a pool to swim & poolside chairs to relax on.
The room is very comfortable, the whole property felt like home, very cozy and the view is stunning. Very well located, close to many of the main points of the park, around 20/30 min from most of it. Right outside of the small village of Gerês.
The house is great! All the rooms , bathrooms and common spaces are very clean, comfortable and with a good size. The hosts are very nice and always available, they even left us a welcoming gift. I can surely recommend this place to rest and spend some awesome days with quality. There is also parking space near the house. The village is quit, however there is a bar that serves drinks, food and tapas which I also recommend.
Great place to stay in an adorable village
The place is an amazing renovation. May they continue to develop it further in the village. It was spotlessly clean. And the gardner, who keeps the grounds and pool in excellent condition, was welcoming and helpful.
Casa Fonte Fria is located in a beautiful village. There are plenty of walks around Pitoes das Junias with the old monastery and cascades close by. In the evening we walked in to the village itself and had a great meal in the Restaurante Dom Pedro Pitoes. The hosts communicated well with us via WhatsApp and if travelling and walking in this region of Portugal again we would certainly book Casa Fonte Fria once again.
Location is 15min walk into Soutelo where we found a very good cafe that did great coffee & crossaints. A further 20 min walk takes you into Vila Verde, which is a lovely town as well. We found some local walking routes and over our 6 nights there is was a nice retreat to get back to. Lots of towns and villages within 15 min drive. We loved it, Christina & Fransisco were on hand as needed....thank you both.
We had own breakfast basket delivered to our door, it was very generous so we had all the leftovers as snack for all day. The location is amazing with spectacular view, the gardens are very beautiful, the place is very private with only 6 villas and with direct access to the lake. We loved it and willBe back!
The place looked like a lovely little holiday village! The room has already "lived" well but was quite comfortable! The terrace we enjoyed offered a magnificent view of the valley and the sunset! Breakfast very well made and the staff were very helpful (placing a fridge in the room, without having asked for it, for our fresh products). The swimming pool and the surrounding park constitute a real added value.
