We originally had booked another hotel on Gili Air, but after one night decided to change due to noise from construction and rusty water filling the bath. Ari and his team welcomed us and had our villa ready within 30 minutes of booking. When staying on remote islands with limited infrastructure, I have found you typically have to temper expectations just a little, but this was not the case at Lasai. We were in villa 1, an absolutely beautiful room with cold AC, sparkling pool, soft and comfortable mattress, and plenty of hot water for a nice relaxing bath. The photos on the website don’t do it justice! Very well insulated so you can’t hear the Muslim prayers at 0400, and light blocking shades ensured a restful sleep. Daily breakfast was served in the villa and a filtered water cooler made our stay extra comfortable, and the mini bar had great wine and other soft drinks. No request was too much trouble and they always replied quickly via WhatsApp. Another review mentioned the ‘delicate’ robes. I wore the robe daily, it was SO comfy and soft, and very well made. This place will forever be our go-to on Gili Air!

There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay. The rooms are fitted with a patio with garden views. I loved everyhting about the hotel. The location is amazing and is on the sunset part of the island with good restaurant as well. The staff is awesome and will do anything to make your stay incredible. We were welcome in the harbour with a horse carriage which was really cool to go to the villas. The villas were beyond our expectations and the breakfast served directly at the villa was perfect for our little family. Would definitly recommend.

Easy to order food from restaurants if you want to eat in the Villa instead of going out. Helpful staff. We really enjoyed our stay in Villa Kayu.

I liked everything! the rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed, the exterior was very beautiful and peaceful with a wonderful pool, and the host was super friendly and very helpful, she made sure we had everything we needed and gave us good tips where to go. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast it’s very good too. We couldn't recommend it more. When I return to Gili Air I hope to stay there again.

The villa was lovely - a private pool which was in a peaceful and relaxing location - the breakfast was great - brought to our room every morning and a nice variety to choose from!
