The rooms were nice, however there were many other +s. We went bird watching from the Minca Village with a guide. He was good but scrambling along the paths not so good. Can’t be blamed but never saw a Toucan. Sitting by the swimming pool or across from the lake we saw far more bird life. We saw toucans up to groups of 4. The lake is fed everyday. We saw a hawk swoop down and take a medium size Perch out of the water. Back in the trees for breakfast. So many birds for the Colombian bird watcher.
Everything about Villa Tayrona is wonderful!! Amazing location at walking distance from Tayrona park, rooms are super comfortable and clean, the food is delicious and WiFi works great! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again! Best thing about Villa Tayrona is the staff, super friendly and always willing to help, they made our stay very pleasant. Beautiful setting in TNN with luxurious eco-touristic accommodation.
This was probably one of my favorite hotels I’ve travelled to. It’s truly breathtaking. Upgrade to the villa with the pool and make sure to take a swim in the river. You won’t be disappointed.
True retreat. Extensive spa facilities. The wet areas were very well kept. The food absolutely delicious. Dinner and breakfast were the best we had in that part of the country and very reasonably priced for the quality. Vanessa, member of the staff, was incredibly helpful and attentive. The same with the reception. Warm and efficient welcome. The proximity to the river is a very attractive feature.
Simply beautiful, this is Colombia at its best. Green, plenty of wildlife around you, warm & lovely staff, yet quite luxurious without being stuffy, with outdoor showers, raised terrace, they’ve thought of everything.
Great beachfront location and attractive seating and pool areas. Wonderful bedroom with big windows overlooking the sea and mountains.
A great retreat, so relaxing and exicting. A great place to explore Tayrona, but also Villa Maria is so good you might just want to stay in the pool area or look at the jungle and gently swing the hammock on your private balcony. The beach near by is not a swimming beach, but it’s a really lovely walk, with jungle on one side - and the eternal ocean on the other.
Absolutely everything. I can only describe it as perfection. Heavenly views, delicious food, staff that treat you like family - it felt like luxury and a home from home at the same time. Couldn’t recommend Villa Playa more.
Beautiful hotel and wonderful location. All the facilities - the pool, bar area and restaurant were exceptional and the food and choice was excellent at a very reasonable price. The hotel is right next to the entrance of Tayrona Park so makes a visit to the park easy to organise by yourself. There are only 12 villas so the hotel is very peaceful, spacious and relaxing and the staff make a real effort to focus on the guests.
