Great decor, sea view, and friendly staff. Away from the more lively end of the beach the Makao was perfect for us as we wanted to relax. Their beach beds are so comfy and luxurious and give a great view of the ocean. They will serve drinks and snacks to you here and even brought out complimentary fruit platters in the afternoon! The food was excellent - I had the garlic prawns twice because I loved them so much.
Beautiful, beachfront area, where the bungalows are located (looks like a postcard). Spacious, comfortable bungalow with a great design. Delicious breakfast, friendly staff, great massages. The hotel is located within a short beach walk from Palomino, and close to the entrance to the Tayrona National Park.
Team was great and always smiling , location is great . Complex with different pools is amazing . Villas are beautiful! Lunch and diner was great ! Good choice on the menu .
Fantastic spot where to disconnect from absolutely everything. No luxury place, but best to connect with a strong ocean and forget about the world even though you are 5 mins from Palomino.
Breakfast was delicious - a choice of 4 or 5 items - European/colombian fusion! Freshly prepared and delicious. Fresh fruit, juices, tea, coffee. Lovely!! The spa was also amazing quality - European prices - but amazing quality. Recommend a hot stone massage (especially if you’ve done The Lost City Hike and feel a little stiff). It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 to the village. Highly recommend the hotel.
For a hostel it's very luxurious - pool, spa, landscapes gardens, bar etc. Great layout and design of rooms - all 2 floors max. really nice staff - welcoming and helpful even though I was far older than most of the backpacker crowd there !
Had a lovely time. Only bad thing is the last bit of Road that lead up to the village, but that's also part of being outside the real comercial zona. Loved it. We will be back
The hostal is beautiful. Very clean and organized. The pool was excellent. Breakfast was great, unlimited coffee, eggs, bread or arepas, juice, fruit. The restaurant all vegetarian offered good variety. The service was good. All the workers were friendly. We stayed at a room with private pool and it was excellent. We certainly come back again. The garden was beautiful too, we saw a lot of butterflies, hummingbirds, parrots, etc.
Nice hostel not on the main road so it’s quiet at night. Staff is very nice, helpful and friendly. Bed is comfortable. Everyday room cleaning. Facilities are great. Very good breakfast and good service. We were in a double room with private pool. That pool was everything. Loved it.
