Lovely Japanese hotel. Great breakfast and welcoming hosts. We had a car so we could drive into Shibu Onsen to look around this lovely little village.

This place is incredible! The staff are amazingly polite and informative making you feel at home. The accommodation itself is of a surpurb standard being appoint with every luxury required, yet maintaining the Ryokan history. Onsens are delightful and access to onsen alley is literally on your door step. Cannot reccoment highly enough, this place is perfection.

This property was amazing. The location was incredible - a very short drive from the snow monkeys. The village was beautiful. The ryokan was really authentic - enjoyed making up the beds and the complimentary robes. The food was also really good - even gluten free options catered for. A must stay property!!

Great budget rustic authentic experience. Ability to have a private onsen at the hotel as well as the hotels separate onsen. Hint- male side is heaps better than female side. Jealous. Proximity to snow monkeys , onsens and quaint onsen town all great. Not luxurious but rooms large still great

Loved everything about the place and the staff were so friendly - felt like a large and luxurious home. Also they have they have most cute dog. It's about a 100 meters from the piste. Oh - oh, and the food is amazing, such a journey into Japanese during our 3 days and 3 dinners!

Shibu onsen is amaizing, beautiful and quiet at night, and Nozaru ryokan is right in the heart of onsen village. I really liked how this run-down building look, and I was happy to have spacious room with kotatsu and nice rotemburo for a price of a hostel. Girl on the reception was nice, too.
