Well! I don't even know where to start! There were six of us, and we are between 40 and 60 years old, so we have seen quite a few houses where we have stayed during our lives. But like this! never before!!! There are no words for it! Modern, wonderful, beautiful, clean, we came from Hungary and traveled from Canada, to the Dominican Republic, from Iran, to Burma, almost all the countries of the world. But we have never been to such a beautiful house! We didn't even want to leave the house! We had a pub next to us, a convenience store in front of us, we had all the comforts. In the kitchen, there was nothing missing, the bathrooms were so clean and modern that we didn't even want to go in, lest we spoil something, the beds, the quilts, the pillows... you didn't even want to get out of bed... Well, I'll finish here. because I only know Latin, just keep going! Thank you Smithy house team! Staying with you is an unforgettable experience!

One of our favourite ever and most relaxing holiday cottages to stay in as a family of 5. Exceptionally well equipped with really nice furniture. Lovely host. Beautiful views across white sand beaches which are in easy walking distance. The living room is a really nice space - stylish and cosy. Would highly recommend if you don't mind the drive to get there.

The house was so beautifully clean. It had a very lovely welcome package of chocolates, buiscuits and a fully stocked fireplace. The bathroom tap was a hit with our three little ones (8yrs and 5yr old twins). The garden sitting area was a beautiful spot for star gazing. We would highly recommend The old school house. It is just a luxurious, lovely home.

The staff were very helpful and seemed to be enjoying their work, which always makes a difference. This hotel is not cheap, but I found it a very pleasant place indeed to spend an autumn evening. The location is splendid and the decor retains the traditional flavour of a Highland retreat, while making the most of modern comforts. Breakfast was great too, with a good variety of food on offer.
