This was a fantastic location. The cottage was homely and cosy. Beds were comfortable and it had all the facilities that we needed. I loved the surrounding area and looking at the lake from the cottage was fabulous. I particularly loved to see the dogs as they always greeted us when we arrived back, running towards us with a waggy tail. They were super cute :) Very good value for money and would definitely recommend to others and will definitely be back.

A characterful, historic pub in a tranquil village. Welcoming and well presented room with a superb view out into fields and beyond. Comfy bed and excellent ensuite. Evening meal was really good. Nice to be able to take a pint back to my room ! All-in-all was a pleasureable stay and would be happy to stop by again
The property was in a quiet village and easy access to walks. It was very cosy, historic and the atmosphere was peaceful and chilled. The food was lovely and the staff couldn’t do more for you
The Royal Oak is clearly the hub of the village as when we arrived the bar was buzzing with locals- always a good sign!
Staff were fabulously helpful and friendly and both dinner and breakfast were absolutely superb.
Room was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed.
