The house was lovely. It is well set out with everything you need. The host left a cute welcome basket and she was very helpful. The log fire was amazing. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms are well set out. It's in a wonderful location five minutes walk to the Mere and near the centre of town. We are booking again very soon ❤️

We recently enjoyed a 2 night stay at a charming wooden log cabin, and it was nothing short of delightful. The cabin was incredibly comfortable, cosy, and warm, providing the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Everything was spotlessly clean with a beautiful interior that made us feel right at home. The space was ample for our family of four, offering a spacious environment for the kids to play and for us to relax.
The location was ideal, nestled in a picturesque setting with a lovely pub just down the road and another on-site for convenience. The owners were welcoming and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable with their hospitality.
While we loved every moment, our only minor feedback would be the need for more cups and plates to accommodate four people. However, this small detail did not detract from our overall wonderful experience. We highly recommend this log cabin for anyone looking for a peaceful and charming getaway.

've just returned from 2 nights at the lodges in Barmston and wanted to say how disappointed I was.
The location is amazing and the Lodge was clean, and the hot tub nice, but overall it lacked a 'retreat' feel and was quite run down.
I wouldn't recommend or return
Cosy Cottage was spotlessly clean, well equipped, and had everything you could possibly need.
It was in a very quiet location, just a few minutes' walk to the beach.
There was also a pub called the Black Bull in the village. Drinks were very reasonable, and the staff were very friendly.
We really enjoyed our holiday and would stay here again.
Beautiful little cottage in a beautiful village. Very old world and comfy. Huge outdoor area. We used the summer house a lot. Lovely and cool indoors when escaping from the sun. Lena cottage is equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is on the ground floor which is good as the stairs are a little steep, but there aren't too many to get upstairs.
It's very relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Absolutely fab time at Black Bull retreat... couldn't fault my stay at all, from start to finish.
I'm not sure of the cleaning ladys name. I want to call her Marilyn what a star!! could not do enough for us,extra towels, to places to visit. Every business needs a Marilyn what a credit!!
WiFi was a bit hit and miss, but thank you, chloe, for allowing us to use your firestick.

The pubs staff the pub food. I liked nothing about the retreat tried to make the best of it because my partner and I didn't see each other for 3 weeks and we thought let's have a luxurious weekend. Nothing lux about it it was a expensive budget holiday we paid 600 in total for 4 days FYI so this isn't a budget price but the retreat was budget great way of making money for the people not showing their faces I guess
The location was great, quiet village setting but near Bridlington and the beach. The lodge itself was very well presented, very clean and well equipped. The hot tub was a lovely luxury to have too. Check in/ out was easy and the managers were very helpful. We had a great short break and would love to come back.
