The pool was fantastic and so was the property. We are a multi generational family unit and it suited all of our needs. There is a lot to do in the area, and we also had lazy days by the pool.
It’s very peaceful, and delightful waking up to the distance sound of the cockerel.
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
The Bristol is a nineteenth century villa converted into a hotel. It has been redecorated with taste by new owners and keeps its quaint charm. The room and modern bathroom are both spacious. The small lounge has a cozy English room feel. The staff is very friendly. Good vibes all around.
Great breakfast too!
You need to contact the hotel ahead of time to book a parking space on site, for a fee.
Historical downtown with all shops is around the corner, a two minute walk.
Hotel is not suited for wheelchairs.
We enjoyed staying in this charming, very French villa. The hosts were friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room and bathroom were very spacious. Breakfast was supplementary but very good value for 6 euros. Homemade jams, yoghurt and fresh eggs from the garden! Safe, parking in the grounds.
Best location at Centre square. Sometimes some noise from revellers at night. Lift from 2nd floor. Not for disabled or who can’t take their luggage up some steps. Ok bathroom, clean but clearly old. Good bed with sheets and blankets. Continental breakfast adequate, not luxurious.
Room made up everyday.
Well established hotel in a substantial villa on a side street close to the centre of town, with a pleasant garden entrance beneath an art deco canopy. Comfortable room with en suite shower room ingeniously inserted into it. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Good value. It felt authentically French.
A beautiful villa full of character, spacious and comfortable. Set in a large garden, private, quiet, ample parking. Easy access to the centre of Pau, either by walking or by the excellent busway nearby. The host, Sophie, was helpful and welcoming throughout. Breakfast was great with fresh local produce and many homemade items.
Villa Dampiere is a lovely colonial-style house close to the centre of Pau. The owners do everything to make you welcome and provide an excellent breakfast with croissants, home-made jams etc. The rooms are large and comfortable - ours was air conditioned, which was nice as the weather was hot. The shower was nice and warm with a good flow rate (important - I've suffered under many a weak shower).
