Everything ! Excellent all round facilities to use as a base in Dordogne -but a car is essential. Pierre Yves and Pauline are committed to making a complete holiday experience. The pool is warm and clean I appreciate the quality cushions on various sunbeds, seating , dining areas -there are numerous games and activities in the grounds and indoors. Pétanque darts table -tennis etc I also appreciated the choice of public rooms to relax with BBc tv too! Dining room, sun room tv room. Children and adults Games available and plenty of books! Study upstairs-an amazing shared kitchen fully equipped . A breakfast delivery daily is available too! Highly recommended we loved it.

Beautiful property with great facilities. Well equipped kitchen with lovely shaded outside seating areas. We really enjoyed the croquet, boules and table tennis, as well as the pool. Lovely pub with great food within a 5 minute walk. Property managers Clwyd and Alison were very helpful.

Le Promontoire is located in a great place close to many highlights of the Dordogne region. It is on the edge of the village with views towards Groléjac lake, with large light and airy rooms. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery in a well equipped kitchen, with different seating areas for the whole family. The hosts were very attentive - when we had a problem with the hob they brought a temporary single hob replacement the following day. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble drier, and a table tennis table under the house in the cave (wine cellar).

Good facilities and friendly owner. Shortcut into town is cute but it is secluded and not lit at night. Take a torch. Not sure I would do it a single female traveller to be honest.

Exceptional rooms with luxury en-suites. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable with very hospitable hosts. Close to beautiful village of Carlux and within easy reach of many of the Dordogne's best attractions. Domme, Sarlat, Marquaysac and Eyrignac gardens as well as the many castles along the river.
It is not a posh hotel but cozy and great value for money in a lovely, very quiet village with an interesting history. The owners are very kind and welcoming.
The facilities inside the main living areas were very good and the kitchen was well-equipped. The garden was very secure which was ideal as we travelled with two dogs and the pool was nice and clean. The property is situated in a quiet, residential area which was peaceful and pleasant. The local village is only two minutes away by car and has a lovely bar/restaurant, boulangerie, boucherie and cash point. The property is in a good location for exploring the Dordogne region.
Very well fitted out and well designed gite in group of 12 with very good facilities.
The owners helped by getting the TV repaired when we asked for assistance. Loved the pool and 3 local eating places. Charming view of the very pretty village.
