Bottle of wine and Breakfast supplies, including fresh baked bread were a lovely unexpected touch. Luxury to have an enquire with each bedroom. The location was perfect. Walking distance to pub and restaurant. Loved the wood fire - a cosy addition during autumn. Lovely sunny spot for morning coffee was the perfect way to start the day.

Fantastic location, charming old villa. Big spacious bathroom (though very difficult access for anyone with a disability), and spacious main bedroom.

The breakfast provisions were great and the location of the retreat was fantastic. A short walk to the pub and many wineries and activities to do right on your door step. Lyndall and Charles were very accommodating and made for a great stay.

We stayed in the one bedroom cottage for three nights for the Clare Gourmet festival this year - the perfect location and in a gorgeous village. The cottage has been beautifully redecorated, with pretty gardens, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom a treat. Our hosts provided a lovely bottle of wine on arrival and breakfast items for our stay. There is an excellent pub and a restaurant a hundred metres down the road.

What a superb stay! This is a haven and the house and owners are wonderful, warm and friendly. The house has a lot of history associated and we were given a grand tour. The gardens and setting actually reminded us of Southern France! The pub down the road was cheery and good enough for evening meals and the fridge was stocked with enough fixings for us to make a wonderful breakfast. A walk around the quiet village exploring the historic buildings was also a delight.
