My partner and I had the most lovely time in the premium cabins at discovery parks. The cabin was modern and luxurious, we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else!
The peacefulness of the Village was exactly what I needed. The staff were friendly and didn't mind stopping for a chat. The proximity to the Visitor Centre was ideal.
There aren’t many options of accommodation in the area and they are all pricier than the rest of Tasmania but the Wilderness Village is right next to the Information Center and shuttle bus stop. It is clean and comfortable. You’ll need to book the restaurant well in advance, but there is a ‘take away’ option
We were a little nervous staying after we read a couple of recent negative reviews however we really enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and always readily available to assist, tavern meals were standard pub fare but hearty enough to fill you up after a day exploring. Buffet breakfast was well stocked and lots to choose from including barista made coffee. Cabin was lovely, cozy and private. The abundance of wildlife around the cabin and village made every walk something to look forward too.
Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village was conveniently located to the visitors centre, and transport in and around Cradle Mountain. Staff were professional and and friendly in all our interactions. We loved our time here.
Everything. It was very well organised and set up. The day we arrived was the first snow of the season on the mountain and the heating warmed the whole space well. Beautiful bush all around and just a wonderful evening spent at the village in the restaurant as well.
Location amazing real wilderness around you with magnificent views of the mountain, dinner at the restaurant was delicious, spa was a luxury, peaceful and so quiet 💚
