Set within 20 km of Oita Bank Dome and 12 km of Oita Station, Beppu Hatto Onyado Nono Beppu offers rooms in Beppu. Featuring a restaurant, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Private parking is available on site. The hotel seems to be very new and everything feels just right. It starts with the tatami mats on the whole hotel area which is walkable without shoes and it ends with the very nice onsen on the 13th floor. You have two big onsens and 7 private onsen baths which are "first come, first serve". But no worries, you will find a free bath quite fast. During the waiting time, you can enjoy free ice cream, massage chairs or mangas (jp only) with a great view over beppu. The hotel is worth every yen you will spend and the hot onsen water baths are the cherry on the top. Definately recommend to stay here👍.

With a spa and wellness centre, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The property is non-smoking and is set 1.7 km from Kinrinko Lake. The location was perfect for me, 10 minutes walking from the train / bus station and on top of a light hill, so the view from our room was incredibly nice. (This also means that if you are going on foot you have to walk uphill, no big deal for us, but if you have heavy luggage it could be difficult). Both dinner and breakfast were japanese-style, but not too traditional on both taste and texture (I say this as a plus, because my partner is not keen on super traditional Japanese cooking and still managed to eat most of his breakfast). We were also offered non-meat options beforehand, which is great! The building is a mixture of western and japanese styles, so for example the common room has high tables and chairs and a parquet, while the rooms have tatami. Everything was lovely, the common area had a beautiful terrace with a view, our room had a small balcony with outside seats and a private onsen bathtub. The owner is a very nice man and we chatted during dinner. We speak good enough Japanese, so language wasn't a problem, but the owner also speaks good enough English and is very helpful. We had free access to coffee, tea and water from the common room and two complimentary water bottles in the room.

A definite top 5 for me. We got the room with a private one and it was simply so amazing to have that within seconds of your room. Also it felt like the water in the private in room onsens had much more minerals than the large one but the large one is well worth a stay too as it feels so free to be the only one there and gazing upon the mountains as you bathe.

Mount Aso is 7.3 km from the ryokan and KK Wings is 33 km away. The venue itself is stunning, an old Samurai house, very ancient and cool. The staff were incredible, very attentive to every request- including building an entire vegetarian menu (!!!) with local ingredients for my wife (we did notify beforehand). The food overall in the dinners was outstanding, we stayed for two nights and had two completely different dishes. The private onsen was amazing, just what you need after a long day out.

Staff service was over any expectations, they informed me about the transport situation before I got there and helped me arranging my trip back. The tea in the rooms comes from their fields and is so good. The facility has an old history and is well maintained and beautiful, no need to even mention the onsen inside.. Very good, I recommend to anyone
