For a Japanese hotel, the room felt spacious and had the expected amenities. Everything very clean of course. The staff were thoughtful and nice. Daily breakfast was simple, but nutritious and tasty. We also had one dinner meal, also well-received. The Sunset View area was appreciated. Convenient to the port area and walkable/bikeable to most art areas. It was very cold during our stay, so we mostly drove.

This hotel is just a short drive to shikoku mura vilage, Takamatsu Castle and Ritsurin Garden. Also close to a mall (on the way to Shikoku Mura Village) where there is a supermarket. We managed to buy strawberries that were in season. There are many eateries around the hotel. With the recommendation by receptionist we were at a Beef Teppanyaki restaurant. Only a short 10 mins walk from the hotel. We had the hotel help us book this restaurant . We enjoyed the dinner meal very much.
