Baltimore
Located in Baltimore, 13 km from St Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen, Rolfs Country House provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel has a restaurant and a bar. Lisellen Estates is 49 km away and Skibbereen Golf Club is 11 km from the hotel. Rolfs is a very special haven tucked into a magical location above the tiny town of Baltimore, Cork. The owners and staff (they are all family and have been there for over 40 years) were warm and welcoming, always offering a special treat, a smile and exceptional service. My sunny room was immaculate with great bedding and a hot and spotless super modern bathroom. The complementary breakfast was incredibly generous, starting with a continental breakfast tower with home made pastries, breads and jam, fruit salad, yogurt and fresh cheese and then moving on to a full Irish breakfast with melt in your mouth eggs and exceptional smoked salmon. There are several choices and everything is served with creative touches, herbs, edible flowers, etc. The 4.5 acres of grounds and gardens are tended by the mom of the family, who lovingly knows the details of each blossom and bush. You can tell that owning this hotel and hosting international travelers is a passion for this family....I feel lucky to have spent two nights there, and the weather was exceptional. I did not have dinner there, although it looked amazing, but I did have local oysters and Creamant one night. Unbelievably good! Cannot recommend Rolfs highly enough. The location and staff are just.....amazing!
