Lastly, the location was also ideal; less than 10 minutes from a D-day landing beach, and close to the beautiful city of Caen.

This Normandy farmhouse offers comfortable rooms and suites with original 17th century fireplaces and free WiFi. Beautiful and relaxing. Exceptionally spacious room with huge armoire and chest, table and sofa. Lovely view from both sides onto entrance drive and gardens and at back the lawns and orchard. Very special ambience. Very good breakfast and the manager gave us a deal as we don’t eat a large breakfast. Good restaurant recommendations. We tried 3 of them going back to each as they were so good.

The hosts, Valerie and Ludo, are friendly and helpful and we received a warm, nice welcome. We lived in a beautiful house where all the rooms are lovingly furnished and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, the living room so cozy, the kitchen well furnished and the bathroom clean with a large, great shower, and so on...we had everything we needed and felt very comfortable. In front of the house we had two seating areas, which where very relaxing and ideal for breakfast in the sun. And there are loungers on the terrace, a barbecue and many beautiful plants. The location is also perfect, because on the one hand it is in the quiet nature, on the other hand it is not far to Port-en-Bessin with the beautiful harbor and a large supermarket and, above all, to Omaha Beach. And there is a perfectly protected parking space at the property. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back soon!

From coffee maker to cleaning supplies. The garden was not completely finished during our visit, so we received a delicious bottle of cider. The owners are very hospitable. It is centrally located to the landing beaches. Obtaining the key is also very smooth.

This place was far better than expected. The location and amenties were perfect! The host met us at the pre-arranged time and provided a few details about how to use certain functions of the home. The location was perfect, right in the the heart of the Normandy region. The home is situated near the town center and is a short walk to bars, shops, restaurants, etc. Parking is readily available nearby if you have a rental. The home has a full kitchen, outdoor patio, and two bedrooms. My two sons and I stayed for three days here and absolutely loved it! I will be recommending this property to friends and family and will come and stay again.

Pillows were euro style and covered but not a huge problem. Very clean. Quiet location. Helpful neighbor. We used the oven, cook top, dishwasher and washer. All worked well once we figured out instructions. Close to the port- not walking distance but short drive. I don’t know this to be true but the decor signs were in English for our stay and I wondered if they did this for our comfort. Either way, it was a nice touch!

La Pêcherie d'Utah, a property with a garden, is situated in Audouville-la-Hubert, 28 km from Tatihou Fort, 35 km from German War Cimetery, as well as 43 km from Pointe du Hoc D-Day. We all loved the location, it was very calm and tranquil and enjoyed watching the horses as they were trotted around the running track and within the farm area. The kitchen was well equipped, as due to the very rural location it is a little drive to restaurants in the nearby town and we prepared several excellent meals after visiting the Super U Supermarket at St Mere d'Eglise. The beds were also very comfortable and so we all slept well after our numerous excursions to the many sites and museums within the area. We also had good weather so were able to sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet with a nourishing glass of wine!
