Three-Star Hotels in Hampi

We booked a standard double room with the thatched walls and roof and everything shown on the booking.com site is exactly as per the photos. The rooms are very authentic and looked really quaint. When we arrived they were actually fumigating these traditional thatched rooms ( a seasonal thing I think) so the manager put us into one of his other rooms (not shown on booking.com). This other room was exceptionally good and very new and part of some new construction work on the premises. The restaurant at Greenstone is excellent, food was very tasty and we ate lunch and dinner there a few times. We came to Hampi for a couple of days and ended up staying more than a week - just kept adding days. The jewel in the crown is the lovely guy "Babu". The waiter/manager/legend at Greenstone who looked after us so well. Try his milk coffee. Ask him about his life. Babu will also rent you a scooter which was in great condition and will save you from the Rickshaw Mafia from the boat landing to the hotel. Cheaper to rent Babu's scooter than get a rickshaw and you can see all the sites so easily. All the staff were great, we got be friendly with all of them. Very trustworthy guys.

The whole experience was fantastic. Staff exemplary and so helpful and pleasantly friendly. Helped organise our tut tut to travel all around hampi, and our transport when we left the kishkinda to South goa by taxi at an excellent rate, don't be afraid to ask. Food was excellent cannot fault the kishkinda at all, If going to Hampi on a budget, the kishkinda is the place, tut tut ride 2500 rupees a day, £25 pound sterling, the tut tut driver stays with you all day.our tut tut driver Nagaraj on WhatsApp, +91 9482170347, safe and a really informative and a pleasant guy.
